Hi all,

Got some cat6 cable from monoprice
One directly from the manufacturer and other from amazon. The only difference is supposed to be color.

When reading the label on the side of the box, one says bare copper cable other does not. Anyway for me to tell if they are both pure copper?

Reason i am asking is because i read to be aware of places selling fake non pure copper cabling. I know the manufacturer blue cable is good, but questioning from amazon. 20191218_122558.jpgSee picture for side by side of labeling. Left is manufacturer purchase and right same item from amazon. Hopefully I am just overthinking this, but want to be sure before running cable.

Cut the cable through and look at the ends of the wires.

FYI - another way to test is weight of the box of cable. Copper is significantly heavier than CCA.

Also you can use the flame test...
