I'v got s Hikvisoion 7608 nvr and a Foscam fi9901ep. I've got it as it network ip, onvif, port 88, atuo protocol

Check out the 'ONVIF port' for the camera with 'ONVIF Device Manager' from sourceforge.net
This is in the URL at the bottom of the Identification page.
I have a vague recollection that Foscam use 8899, though that model may be different.

Is that because the camera is connected to an NVR PoE port?
So that's what you need to use in the NVR ONVIF config, not port 88.
Ok.. It's says online when I remove the camera and put it on the router with 12 volts I can see it on the nvr. But still not working on the POE

To work when actually connected to PoE channel 1 you need to change the camera IP address to 192.168.254.2
And for ONVIF Device Manager to see the camera, it must be on the same wiring as the PC, and you need to give it valid logon credentials, top left of the ODM window.

Is that due to lack of valid logon credentials in ODM (top left of the window) ?
And the camera appears to be still using the 192.168.1.107 IP address.
If it's plugged in to the NVR PoE port, the camera IP address needs to match that specified in the NVR channel - 192.168.254.2 in your screenshot.
I got it working. I changed the ip at the camera to 192.168.254.2. I thought the the nvr was changing it automatically. Thanks for your time
