Can deleted files be imported into database

I recently had a few protected files deleted by BI when my hard drive filled up. I successfully recovered the files and would like them to be available in the BI database. Is there a way to get BI to include them again?

yes, regenerate the database. also it should not delete if its protected.

you sure they were not simply "flagged"?
regardless, if you need a file, its always best to not only protect it but export or copy it to a USB drive in case of drive failure.
