Camera will not display alerts in UI3

Dahua DH-IPC-PDW3849-A180-AS-PV. This is a wide angle camera that is actually 2 cams in one. it stitches the 2 images together to make one ultra wide image. For some reason it will not display alerts in UI3. I've gone over the settings until I'm blue in the face and nothing works. I've set it exactly like other cams and no joy. It did used to display alerts just fine. I'm guessing a BI update broke it. Other than this problem the camera works fine. Any help much appreciated. :)
 
Best advice I can offer is to create the camera in Blue Iris over again from scratch without copying/exporting/importing from the previous version, and see if you get alerts properly from that one. If you have a lot of stuff set up in the cam, start with something simple, then work up in phases towards what you normally would have set for it so you can catch what breaks it (if anything breaks it).

Thank you sir. Would you happen to know which camera I should choose when reinstalling? As best I can remember I went with the automatic choice which is *RTSP H.264/H.265/MJPG/MPEG4
The Camera has optical zoom which I like to be able to use from within UI3 but I looked into it a while back and couldn't find howe to make that happen.

Yea, that's what I do for all my cams since none are listed in BI. This has always worked well enough and I'm not sure that my problem is related to cam choice but since I'm going to reinstall it I thought I'd ask to see if anyone knew of a better choice.

Find/Inspect is almost always the way to go!
