Like stated by Paul, as short as you can live with but long enough to facilitate being far enough away from the box while you punch down the CAT cable into a female keystone RJ-45 jack or crimp on a male RJ-45. For me that's generally no less than 12" but as long as can then be wound back into the box with the camera's pigtail attached and the cover secured WITHOUT causing a crimp in the CAT cable.Hi!
What is the correct length for the CAT7 cable in the junction box? How much space is there? The RJ45 Keystone adapter also has to be fitted.
Thank you!
12 inches is a lot. I need about 4 inches to connect the keystone RJ45 female adapter. I put a loop in the wall behind it and can move the cable around a bitLike stated by Paul, as short as you can live with but long enough to facilitate being far enough away from the box while you punch down the CAT cable into a female keystone RJ-45 jack or crimp on a male RJ-45. Based on what you just posted ^^^, I'm puzzled why you even asked what you did in your first post!12 inches is a lot. I need about 4 inches to connect the keystone RJ45 female adapter. I put a loop in the wall behind it and can move the cable around a bit
