Anybody try Visible Wireless for cell phone provider?

They are a sub-company of Verizon, and use Verizon towers for about 1/2 the price. No phone "deals" though-- bring your own or pay full price on phones. They throttle bandwidth on the lowest plan. The cool thing is ALL taxes and fees are included in the price...

If you are looking for 'cheap' try US Mobile. They are a reseller with a choice of carrier using the major 3 firms. They also have plans for those that need data.

In my case, our yearly cost for a cell phone with US Mobile is $72 per year all taxes and fees included. Only use unlimited talk and text as no need for data.

US Mobile is pretty hard to beat. You tend to pay around 10-50% of what you would if subscribed directly to the big carriers. On US Mobile the "Warp" network is Verizon. "Dark Star" is AT&T. "Light Speed" is T-Mobile.

MobileX is also fairly competitive in price (I and a few family members use them) but they are on Verizon's network only and they seem to have more technical issues, e.g. with things like WiFi calling not working, voicemail not getting set up correctly, or internet not working at random times for some people.

I’ve been using Visible for a few years now and the service has been great. I started out with the $25/month plan and after a short period raised it to the $35/month plan. I use Tailscale VPN whenever I’m away from the house so the unlimited data is nice to have.

I've been using US mobile for at least a year on the Verizon network and it works great. I'm on the cheapest 2 GB/month plan and occasionally have to buy more data at $2 per GB. Based on the number of US Mobile responses I'd conclude that this forum is full of cheapskates.

Our local internet company has Verizon wireless service packaged in our internet bundle. We went from around $250 a month for 2 phones with verizon wireless with just basic service, to our broadband internet with both of our our verizon service phones included for around $125.00 a month. Right around a 50% savings over Verizon. Verizon has gotten too big for their britches.....
