Guess it time for the installation of backup cameras in Amazon delivery vans. Bet that there are additional Amazon driving examples by other forum members.
Good catch. Hopefully it is a backup cam. But they are only as good as the person behind the wheel. In this case it is a he. Perhaps a recent hire to boot.
The license plate is easy to read. Interesting that it is licensed in Nevada and not Alaska.
Likely leased, as many high mileage commercial cars and trucks are.
When I managed a northern CA office for a traffic signal maintenance co. for 4 years my '75 Ford Granada they gave me to drive was leased from a CT corp.
I think numbnut's issue started when how he parked to make the delivery. I can't say for sure but if you look at the beginning of YOUR clip you may have more that negates this but what WE see he may have parked with his ass in the road. So when he saw the car coming he got in a hurry and backed up instead of waiting for the car to pass. This may have affected how cautious and observant he was....only he and the Lord knows.
I live on a rural road with little traffic but still it never ceases to amaze me how often people, even locals, will stop dead in the middle of the road, make a phone call, get out and rummage through the bed of their truck, better tiedown a load that should have been done BEFORE they drove off, etc. and then act annoyed when you come up behind them and can't get by unless they move so YOU CAN DRIVE ON A ROAD AS IT WAS DESIGNED FOR SINCE IT'S NOT A PARKING LOT! It happens a lot, unfortunately.

With the Amazon drivers around here, and watching their driving shenanigans, it's pretty obvious they hire drivers based solely on whether or not they can breathe.
