Anyone have any recommendations on a good place to purchase components? I have use alarmliquidators.com for RF components and have a shopping cart full at alarmsystemstore.com.
Wondering if anyone has other recommendations?
 
be careful to avoid alarm panels with old software... can be quite limiting they are generally not easily upgraded. Often done by PROM replacement.
 
Just components...door/window contacts, PIRs, ext.
Good point with old software..I got my panel from a deader and checked the version.

Another source not to neglect is craigslist. Every now and then you'll see somebody liquidating their stock from their alarm / datacom business. They usually want to sell in quantity though.
