Getting the hang of it

Hey Everyone;

I've been using AI inspector anytime I'd get an odd result from AI analysis in my setup. I found that it doesn't work for an alert analysis anymore. I used to select an alert and go into the menu and it would show the breakdown as to what was detected. Now all it shows is a blank window.

I think the problem may have started when I tried to use it while I had the AI feature on in the testing and tuning menu.

I've done everything I can to try to get it working again, including rebooting the machine to no avail.

I'm running the latest BI stable version.

Thanks

I'm running the latest BI stable version. - can you please be specific as to the version of BI and AI, just so we know for sure?

I'm running 5.9.9.73 and AI 2.9.5.0

It would always work if I opened an AI analyzed alert then went to the AI Inspector. It doesn't show anything there anymore, but will show if I turn on the AI for testing and tuning.

dont you have to save the dat files for each camera to see the analysis?
No you don't. If the camera is using AI, but NOT configured to save DATs, an AI DAT file is always saved for the most recent alert. They are located in the Blue Iris Temp folder. Furthermore, they can be viewed by Ctrl-Double clicking the most recent alert in the Clips list.

KEY POINT: these DAT files are ephermeral - they will last only until they are overwritten by the next Alert. Give the file a unique name is you want to retain it.
