Adding Custom IP camera via web browser.

Is there a way to add and configure custom IP cameras via the web interface of the NVR or do I have to do this directly on the NVR? All videos I've seen are done directly on the NVR. The NVR is a 32-channel 4k model not sure if that makes a difference at all.

Well, sorry to be harsh but it would make a big difference if you were actually informative about the brand and model of the NVR and the brand and model of the cameras. Put yourself in the position of the reader.
Otherwise - it really is a total guessing game where no-one knows a helpful answer, me included.
