Adding another storage drive - procedure to safely move a camera with all its video history to the new drive?

I have a licensed Blue Iris server on Windows 11 Pro with a WD Purple Pro drive for video storage that has the recommended directory structure. All video is currently being saved only in the New folder. I have no alert image files or anything other than video clips is in New.

I am adding a second WD Purple Pro drive, after which I will have two drives storing video. I've read lots of articles about replacing drives, but in this case I am adding an additional drive, not replacing the old one. The second drive will be configured the same as the first, and its New folder will be mapped as "New2" in BI.

I wan to reconfigure some of my cameras to store video to New2 (the second, new drive), and I wonder if there is a recommended procedure to move a camera - with all its historical video clips - from one drive to another? I DO want to move all the historical clips for the cameras I'm moving to the new drive because the objective is to free up capacity on the first drive to allow the cameras remaining on that drive to have longer histories.

Obviously I need to change the folder for the camera from New to New2 on the Recording tab. But here's where I would like to know what you experts have done so I don't lose anything or scramble my BI database...

- Will BI begin recording to the new location Immediately or at the beginning of the next clip?

- Do I need to shut BI down when I move the historical clips from the original drive to the new drive? I assume I at least need to wait until BI starts recording a fresh clip in the new location.

- Do I need to run a Repair / Regenerate to get BI to see the historical clips in their new location on the new drive? Or do I use the Delete / Regenerate? Or something else?

- Any gotchas or things to avoid doing in this operation?

Thanks for any tips.
