AcuPick 2.0 - NEW AI features for Dahua cams / NVRs (presentation)

Last firmware upgrade for WizMind-S (5xxx-S3) cameras showed that Dahua upgraded AcuPick functionality by adding detection of human/vehicle attributes plus separate detection of animals and some new features for IVS..

I found YouTube presentation by some Dahua rep in Kenya about AcuPick 2.0 (link below).

It looks there is more of new features - some will be released in next firmware upgrade for NVR's..
  • ability to search by human / vehicle attributes (top/bottom color, age, gender, glasses/bag/hat/umbrella, expression, vehicle color / logo etc),
  • ability to search by intrusion or tripwire (can be mixed with search for attributes),
  • animal search!!!! which will be another filter type in IVS in 5xxx-S3 cams...
  • ability to upload building map to NVR and put cams location on it,
  • ability to limit search to specified part of building (only cams from that area),
  • ability to draw trajectory of human/car.
  • IVS Self Learning (based on false alarm database) to reduce false Alarms,
  • AcuPick will work with Face Detection / Recognition done on NVR's...
AcuPick will be extended to newest WizMind series 3 cams (no human / vehicle attributes) and WizMind-X series 7 cams (all human / vehicle attributes)..
Also new 5xxx-XI and 6xx-XI NVRs will have ability to do AcuPick on Recorder - to support older cams / intercoms or non-Dahua cams..
5xxx-EI will only support AcuPick on cams with support for it..

Looking forward to the July firmware release for my NVR5-XI NVR. The Animal detection on the S3 cameras was an awesome update.

Which record modes should be enabled when using acupick by cammera and NVR + IVS by cammera? General + Motion + Alarm + Intelligent? As far as I remember that is Andy's preference from tutorial, however with only General set 24/h I can use smart searching with acupick directly on NVR + monitor. But I cannot on my PC web gui.

All AI functionality (except SMD which is Motion) are put as 'Intelligent' type event...
And You must enable in storage schedule recording 'Intelligent' events..

I saw a few screenshots from new internal Dahua presentations about next generation WizSeek technology and new AI Search...
they will be replacement (or more continuation) of AcuPick 2.0 and Video Meta Data in actual PRO NVR/cams generation...

where we will simply ask Dahua AI NVR using a written prompt (like in AI chats) to find: "a man in yellow clothes who is making a phone call beside a car"
Or: "a women who is pushing a stroller"

there are many questions about this new technology, person who sent me this presentation couldn't answer anything

One month ago HIK vision released new series of NVRs with AcuSeek technology, which looks / works identical...

PS. HIK materials shows that AcuSearch is also available from Hik Connect mobile app.. Does DMSS will support this???

Theoretically it can. But you'd do a more generalised search "white cat and pillow".

A few days ago Dahua released new NVR line 5xxx-XI-Pro, which have double AI processor inside and can do:
  • WizSeek & AcuPick 2.0 post processing for all modern cams (up to 64) with AcuPick detection capability plus
  • 8 channels of AcuPick detection / Video Meta Data (with ANPR) / Face Detection & Recognition or 16 channels of IVS for older cams (without those features or with selected different SmartPlan).

Interesting it's first Dahua NVR with two AI processors working in tandem. First is doing classic AI functions (like Video Meta Data / FD & FR / IVS), second more powerful is doing WizSeek & AcuPick 2.0 post processing for all connected modern cams (with AcuPick detection). Both functions (classic AI & WizSeek/AcuPick) don't eat each other AI power and can work in tandem.

More interesting - you can disable WizSeek mode (with WizSeek/AcuPick post processing) and DOUBLE AI limits (so 16 channels for Video Meta Data / Face Detect & Recognition or 32 channels for IVS / SMD).

WizSeek support allows to search people & cars & events & objects using text descriptions like on ChatGPT or Google Gemini (People with the dogs, People crossing zebra lines). It detects 400 categories of actions / objects / attributes and have much more capabilities to describe events in comparison to older Video Meta Data (used also in AcuPick 2.0).

There is also capability to create Alarms based on text descriptions (alarm for 'people with the gun').

ps. Classic AcuPick technology is divided between camera & NVR. Cams are detecting humans & cars and reports this to NVR (this is why I called 'modern cams with AcuPick detection capability'). NVR is doing 3d modeling, which allows to search similar looking people / cars. To run AcuPick with all features both camera & NVR must support it and have it enabled.

This NVR has also capability to add AcuPick detection for older 8 cams as a classic NVR AI function (done on first processor). This can be little confusing for people, who configure AcuPick 2.0 for first time.
