I’m looking for a bullet camera that isn’t to long. 10 inches that will pick up objects at night in color without lights. Also be able to change brightness and contrast settings for night or day automatically and has a motorized varifocal.

Pickup color at night without lights doesn't exist.

All cameras need light either infrared or white light.

All cameras need light.

The ability for a camera to see at night without its own onboard lights would be dependent on how much ambient light you have

Is this akin your post earlier today?

If so, what's the point in multiple posts about the same topic? Just edit or add to your first post. :wtf:

Someone said that Andy might have a camera that does what I need. I don’t think the other post was about the same thing but I apologize in advance for me posting twice if you think that’s what I did.

That is a miagic camera, all cams need led light for full color camera.

11" long... have both IR & white light, white light can be activated by motion.. very good image quality at night...

do you have HIK NVR? if yes, you should stay in HIK ecosystem (AI functionality works only if camera & NVR is from the same company)...

HIK have similar cams called ColorVu 3.0..

I’m looking for varifocal because I look down the street. The lighting I get is fine but my camera is only 1080 and want to get more pixels.

The Hikvision is 13.1 inches long and too big for my liking. Thanks for all the help. It’s hard to choose. Dahua’s product selector isn’t very helpful. It requires a strong knowledge of their product lines.

I already have an older hikvision that sees pretty well IN COLOR in front my house without IR. I’m looking to upgrade it. If you don’t have any cameras that meet the requirements, no problem. Thanks

ANY camera can look good at night in color if you slow the shutter down and increase the gain.

But we are not submitting photos to the county fair. We want a clean capture of a perp at night.

What does your existing camera look like at night with motion? That is where the difference is.

Why does it have to be a bullet? Many turret cameras are varifocal? Any Hik/Dahua/Axis, etc. you are looking for will be able to change the parameters.

Post an example of video and/or freeze frame of an object with motion at night along with the settings you are using for the camera you are looking to replace and then we can tell you if there is a camera out there that can do better than it.

A varifocal is a set it and forget it camera - is that your intent or do you really want a PTZ that you can zoom in and out at your pleasure?

The place that I have the camera is on the side of chimney.
