    Which YOLO to use?

Ohh I didn't know that. I've been running .net CPU medium for years (i7 6700 on a old dell). Average 400-500ms response times. Just for giggle I switched to GPU with the embeded GPU. Not much difference. I do actually have a Nvidia Quadro P1000 on the way for this machine. I was...

    Which YOLO to use?

From my understanding .net is mostly for CPU only. Yolo v5 for older graphics cards, and yolo v8 is better for newer cards.

Just upgraded to 6.x.20 version; CPU @ 110% now, most cameras no signal; help!

I also recently discovered all of my cams ai tabs were set to motion required = no. That was hammering my codeproject by constantly scanning even when not triggered.

    AI Alert confirmation settings

Sorry to reply to this old thread, but I just stumbled on this new setting. All my cams were set to "no". Does that mean it sends a image to the ai engine every xx miliseconds that I have set to analyze each? I only want to send images to AI if there is a motion even or the periodic...

BI 5.x updated to 6.x massive memory usage - AI Related - Max connects

Oh gotcha. Things might have been compounded for me as I only have 16gb of ram, quite a few cams and have been having blowing snow the past few days causing my AI to work overtime.

BI 5.x updated to 6.x massive memory usage - AI Related - Max connects

Was your memory usage really high to begin with? And weird yours was at 99. Mine was at 40. Also I'm running as a service, and did reboot after I made the change just to clear things out. I didn't really give it a chance to drop on it's own. But my whole PC was so lethargic with...

BI 5.x updated to 6.x massive memory usage - AI Related - Max connects

Another update: Dropping max connects to 4 solved my issue. Memory usage stayed good. I did notice with internal and set to 4, ram usage is roughly a gig higher than using CPAI. I actually switched back to CPAI this morning again due to accuracy. We had some snow squalls last...

BI 5.x updated to 6.x massive memory usage - AI Related - Max connects

Just an update, I dropped the max connects waaaay down to 4 and the memory usage seems decent and didn't increase the response times. Not sure if that was the right move or not but suggested by chatgpt. :)

BI 5.x updated to 6.x massive memory usage - AI Related - Max connects

I upgraded to 6.0.1.7 after Christmas and noticed my memory blew up. System has 16gb, BI using more than that and hammering my pagefile. On a whim I disabled the built in AI and went back to CPAI and memory usage went back to normal. However my CPAI seems to be getting hit a lot harder. I...

New BI built in AI support Coral AI TPU?

Cant speak to internal AI, but I gave up on CPAI with the coral tpu. it was fast but wildly inaccurate.

    Reolink poe floodlight pro duo

I did then returned it several days later. Typical reolink junk. I should have known better. Terrible picture quality/motion, virtually nothing you can change to tweak it.

    IPC-Color4K-T

I'm sure my temporary mounting angle isn't helping things. It's about straight on with that light currently. Once I mount it, it'll be above it. But overall I'm happy so far. Much better than my cheapo cams in the dark.

    IPC-Color4K-T

Thanks. That's actually how I was poking around trial and error. I'm just now playing around with this cam in the dark. Even with the shutter set to 1/60 it's waaayyy brighter than my cheapo hik oem with crappier sized sensor at 1/30. I have it mounted low for testing so possibly part of...

    IPC-Color4K-T

I've got all my other cams set to change shutter speeds (hik oems) based on a BI schedule that adjusts for time of year. Maybe that's over complicating things but I've never had much luck with cams switching profiles on a schedule. They'll work good, then as the year goes on and the sun...

    IPC-Color4K-T

I just bought a IPC-Color4k-T and have it working in Blue Iris but I cannot seem to change shutter speed from in Blueiris. I changed exposure to manual in the cam, but no matter which PTZ profile I choose it doesn't respond to shutter speed commands from inside blueiris. Chatgpt leads me to...

Blue Iris Clips and Files - Disk Usage Utility

I was thinking more basic math, but to be fair I don't really know how accurate it would be. We already know the number of days for each cam, and total size per cam. Would dividing size by days get us pretty close?

Blue Iris Clips and Files - Disk Usage Utility

I was playing with some camera bitrate settings and just thought of a feature request. How hard would it be to add a column to the BVR section of average GB per day?

    Reolink poe floodlight pro duo

I know reolink generally isn't very well liked. I don't have the greatest luck with with. But I'm interested more in the poe powered floodlights. I have a perfect spot where I would want it but no way to get power there. But would be simple to get a poe feed to it. Anyone play with one...

Create GIFs from alerts & clips; Send Pushover notifications with GIF attachments

Trying this out and got everything setup how I think is right, but when testing I get this error: ERR/unexpected response from MakeGIF(): 'ERR/unexpected number of images extracted from BVR (found 0, expecting 10)'

Updated to the Latest Version of the Code Project,Server version: 2.9.5 Crashes each time object is detected

I bit the bullet and updated this morning. Installed the .net 9 above first, then to 2.9.5. Seems to have went smoothly..

Updated to the Latest Version of the Code Project,Server version: 2.9.5 Crashes each time object is detected

I've been having that lost contact for the past few versions. Even though it doesn't seem to be working from the dashboard, it's still working in BI

Renaming / moving cameras for testing

Cool. I didn't think it would be a big deal. Just something that crossed my mind every time I swapped out a cam..

Renaming / moving cameras for testing

Something I've always been curious about.. If I remove a camera, the clips stay. Will they eventually get deleted according to my aging settings? Or what if I delete a old camera, then install a new one with the same name. Will that screw anything up with the database? Just something I've...

Hikvision oem / clone - Frame rate drops in low light

Got to the bottom of it. Had to do with shutter speed. I hadn't got around to tweaking these yet for this cam. It was on default auto. At night it would go to 1/10s as auto was allowing it. At 1/10 it cuts the frame rate. Sadly I cannot seem to control shutter speed via blueiris with...

Hikvision oem / clone - Frame rate drops in low light

I've definitely run into that smart codec crap before. One of the reasons I hate reolink. The one I tried years ago you couldn't disable it. I think I have everything disabled that I can on this cam I'm testing out.

Just switched from CPU to TPU - cpai 2.8.0, BI

Ahh. I do have use main stream checked. I don't know if that was the default or years ago I just thought it would be better. I guess with the substream I can bump up my number of images like yours. Currently I'm only doing 2 pre trigger, and 3 post trigger. Assuming more will get...

Hikvision oem / clone - Frame rate drops in low light

I just switched it. I'll check this evening and see if it peters out again. Some of these cheap cams I feel like the processing power limits them. If you enable any of the built in AI stuff, or use the high encoding profile it kills the frame rate.

Just switched from CPU to TPU - cpai 2.8.0, BI

I'm giving that one a shot vs the 6.2 on CPU. Times seem to be about the same but I'll let it run for awhile. I don't have a dedicated gpu, just whatever is built into the dell/i7 processor I've got. Running it shows DirectML GPU. Assuming that's correct? Cheers!
