Swapped out two cameras, now getting several NO SIGNAL error messages

wittaj- Cameras were deleted in BI, then re-added using an existing Reolink camera (known working config) setup that was copied for the two replacement cams. The setup worked for a few minutes, but then the no signal error messages started to appear. Thanks.

Swapped out two cameras, now getting several NO SIGNAL error messages

Hi- I'm running into some issues with my BI setup after swapping out a few of my older cameras. I keep getting no signal errors on several cameras. The system was working fine before, so I'm assuming that the addition of the higher bitrate cameras is the issue. I'm looking for ways to resolve...

    Blue Iris and CodeProject.AI ALPR

Hi- Picked up a new machine after my old one started randomly shutting itself down. Was working on trying to get CodeProject.AI installed to help with motion events, and ultimately ALPR. Ran into a snag right out of the gate...can't seem to get CodeProject.AI installed on the local machine. I...

Upgrading from BI 4.8.6.3 on Win7 to BI 5.x on Win10

looney2ns - thanks for the reply....looks like I can install V5 on a Win7 box. I'll have to see if I want to upgrade the V4 version I have in place, or go with a fresh install of V5.....something to think about.

Upgrading from BI 4.8.6.3 on Win7 to BI 5.x on Win10

bp2008- Kind of what I figured....I'm not even sure if I can install V5 on a Win7 box, so I need to research that as well. Glad to hear you were able to fix your cam issue simply by deleting/re-creating it....that's good to hear, but was probably a hassle.

Upgrading from BI 4.8.6.3 on Win7 to BI 5.x on Win10

wittaj- thanks for the reply. I'll see about exporting each of the individual camera settings and placing those files in a safe place during the upgrade. I wasn't sure if V5 supported Win7...if I recall correctly, I don't think that it did, which was one of the reasons I was stuck on V4....but...

Upgrading from BI 4.8.6.3 on Win7 to BI 5.x on Win10

Hi- I've got an old Win7 machine running BI 4.8.6.3. I'm working on configuring a new machine running Win10, and wanted to know if there is a recommended process on upgrading / transferring all of the camera settings from the older BI install to the new one. I'm hoping that I don't have to add...

It's an intermittent problem....when it occurs, I cannot access the PC using remote desktop. Fails to reply to any ping commands. It's been a problem for a while, I was just reluctant to upgrade the OS from Win7 to Win10. On another note...I pulled the trigger on this one a little while...

Replace current PC with SFF PC

Asking $224. I am aware of the HDD and SSD limitation. I have network storage that I use to archive cam video to if needed. I was going to use SSD for OS and BI software and internal 3.5 HDD for direct to disk recordings.

Replace current PC with SFF PC

Hi- The PC that I built back in 2011 (Win7/[email protected]/8 GB RAM) is giving me issues, so I'm looking to find a suitable replacement. I've noticed that a lot of folks are going to the SFF, specifically looking at older Dell machines. I found one on e-Bay that seems pretty reasonable, price...

    Dead DS-2CD2132-I

bp2008- I bought the same POE adapters...worked pretty well, and has a small form factor. The ethernet connection was in the attic, so I'm not sure what happened....I'm just glad that I was able to save >$100 if I had to replace the cam.

    Dead DS-2CD2132-I

bp2008- Thanks again for your help. I got the 12v DC jack from Amazon the other day. I plugged the cam into it, and to my surprise, I saw a small red LED light up on the PCB. I figured that I now would need to figure out how to run the 12V supply to the cam, and use that instead of the POE...

bp2008- I tried the coat idea...no dice. I don't have a 12v DC jack, so I had to order one. I'll try it out, and report back. Hopefully, that will bring it back to life...otherwise, I'll be looking for a replacement cam to watch the porch. Thanks again for the reply.
