New Reolink Wired POE Doorbell Cam ?

Unfortunately no dice there. Still claims it doesn't understand the file type.

New Reolink Wired POE Doorbell Cam ?

My Homeassistant (of all things) noted a new firmware out today (v3.0.0.3308_2408051175). Couldn't update from HA, or from the camera app (claimed there was no update), but was able to download from the Reolink Download Center. However, when trying to upload the firmware file from the web...

New Reolink Wired POE Doorbell Cam ?

Nope. But I was able to use a program called UTM and Microsoft's Windows 11 Preview service to hobble through the awful resolution enough to enable the ports. Wow that sucked! But I can actually move forward with install. Thankfully able to re-use the holes from my RCA HSDB1! Appreciate the...

New Reolink Wired POE Doorbell Cam ?

Yep. Unfortunately that release is an x86-64 "Mach-O" binary, which requires a compatibility layer (Rosetta) to run on modern Macs. They are missing an ARM-native version.

New Reolink Wired POE Doorbell Cam ?

...? The Reolink app in the Mac App Store is just the iPad app, which is the same as the iPhone app, with no controls over the open ports.

New Reolink Wired POE Doorbell Cam ?

Gotcha. Didn't see you post a link, but just reset it on the back. Now it's doing the (annoying) announcement of setting it up with the app. I just hooked it up to the LAN instead of using Wifi, but nothing except port 9000 is available. I don't have access to the desktop apps; this sucks.

New Reolink Wired POE Doorbell Cam ?

Rebooted the device, nothing ever set itself up on 80 (http) or 443 (https). The device itself is online, as I can watch the feed from the app, just can't seem to get any access to it. I don't suppose anyone's been able to directly control it through 9000?

New Reolink Wired POE Doorbell Cam ?

The webGUI isn't operational, that's the issue. Nothing is listening on 443, only 9000.

New Reolink Wired POE Doorbell Cam ?

You must have Rosetta installed. It's a compatibility layer for x86 binaries, but the ARM chips have been out for four years. No manufacturers should be lacking a compatible app at this point. Either way, sucks it can't be done through the iOS app.

New Reolink Wired POE Doorbell Cam ?

Damn. Their Mac app isn't ARM native (M1, etc), so I can't even use it on my machine (as Rosetta is bloat) Is there no workaround to open those ports up? It's funny their website says you can manage this from a web browser, but seems to now be a chicken-and-egg problem.

New Reolink Wired POE Doorbell Cam ?

I didn't, I used the mobile app as I didn't think it would affect anything (and I didn't even realize they had a Mac client; reviewing the thread, I only heard people discuss PC). Does that change how the doorbell is configured?

New Reolink Wired POE Doorbell Cam ?

I'm sure I'm missing something stupid. But I just set up the Wifi version. I can get video through the Reolink app, and HomeAssistant somehow notices it on the network, but HA can't configure it because the camera's not running anything on 443 (or any port, as far as I can tell).

New RCA HSDB2A 3MP Doorbell IP Camera

Hi David, thanks for the response! My RCA was purchased on Amazon in October 2018, so a little over a year. I likely flashed it with the LaView 190716 FW around the end of December. Other than the TZ issue (and very periodic bouts of not having motion alarms activate), it's been working pretty...

New RCA HSDB2A 3MP Doorbell IP Camera

Ever since I upgraded my RCA doorbell to the LaView 190716 firmware, the timezone frequently goes wonky. Most times, it's been Pacific US (I'm Eastern), but today it was 10 hours off, which seems like it's more than a timezone issue since there's no UTC-15. I reset the TZ and it's fine for a...

New RCA HSDB2A 3MP Doorbell IP Camera

Yes, I'm referring to the DB2A. When I emailed Voxx about it, I mentioned that RCA's DB1 had ONVIF support (at least briefly).. it seems he's said it was an accident, and re-iterated that the DB2 doesn't have ONVIF. The RTSP was only just to say they weren't going to help me access it (I didn't...

    New Dahua VTO2101E-P Tcp/ip/SIP doorbell

Neither Ali Baba, that Netherlands webstore, or any other foreign sites (Ukraine, Spain, etc) I've found this product on mentions ONVIF at all. Why is this so impossible to find?

New RCA HSDB2A 3MP Doorbell IP Camera

In case anyone was holding on to a sliver of hope that this unit would be useful (mainly me), Voxx puts a nail in it. It also looks like they're saying the ONVIF support on the DB1 was a mistake (which also means that it's trivial to add it). Quick, let's compare firmwares :D

Sweet! LTS is releasing an ONVIF compatible doorbell with SD card slot and 940nm IR

Late, but as promised, here's a night-time image of the RCA DB2A camera. Notes to keep in mind: - I have a streetlight in front of my house (on the right side, just out of frame). But the IR picture is pretty decent. - The slight blur is 100% because I hadn't mounted it, and thus holding it...

Sweet! LTS is releasing an ONVIF compatible doorbell with SD card slot and 940nm IR

I had tested it before mounting. Also, I have a streetlight directly outside, so I don't know that I could give you images you're interested in. I did live-view shots of my living room at night, which looked just fine for the 8 feet view it had. If I remember, I'll try to point it outside later...

    Dahua VTO2111D-WP Information and Hacking

I did not get a sense on whether this was ONVIF. Anyone have definitive info on that?

Sweet! LTS is releasing an ONVIF compatible doorbell with SD card slot and 940nm IR

New RCA HSDB2A 3MP Doorbell IP Camera Sadly there's no ONVIF on this one at all. Seems like it handles the RTSP streaming well enough (from my personal tests), but without ONVIF, I can't personally make good enough use of it (since I use an Amcrest NVR rather than Blue Iris). Will end up...

New RCA HSDB2A 3MP Doorbell IP Camera

Thanks again for the links, this is helpful. I did see this review before, actually, but it seems that it still doesn't have the view that I'm looking for: being able to identify people at my door, as well as their approach (i.e. MD from the point they start up the walkway to the point they...

New RCA HSDB2A 3MP Doorbell IP Camera

Ah, thank you; I guess I thought they had some developmental control over features based off a whitelabel image. Thanks for the Grandstream link. Nice to know it will work, but was also hoping for something a little less grandiose (as I don't really have use for a keypad on a simple door...

New RCA HSDB2A 3MP Doorbell IP Camera

Damn, I should have read this thread more carefully - I just set up this camera and was disappointed that I couldn't get it working with my Amcrest NVR since there's no ONVIF. I've submitted my own support ticket about it (referencing that their older model did have this) in hopes that...
