    Is there a specific reason you don't want to do motion detection? Also, referring to your 30 day requirement; Obviously it is your choice, but if this is just a residence, why would you need more than a week of storage? If you get broken into, it probably won't take too much time to realize it...

    Just a quick update; I got mine installed at the front door and I am pretty happy with the built in audio.. I can hear pretty clearly someone talking in my driveway up to about 20' or so.. Gets a bit muffled after that, but I don't really care beyond 5-10' away anyways... Great little camera...

    Thanks Milk, but I think it will be fine either way. My primary requirement is the form factor and the Alarm contact... The audio was an extra that would be useful, but not the main requirement... I'll let you know either way what I find.

    Well, I will say the documentation doesn't really shed any light on it! The terminals are labeled I/O/GND/A.... I choose to interpret that as Audio In/Out and the Alarm contact.... To me, alarm I/O makes less sense but who knows... Hopefully I will get a chance to get it installed in the next...
