Its on the first page of this thread. If you are able to perform the process detailed there, your camera is in an english region and everything should default to english. beware the warnings though, and if you are not comfortable making changes, i wouldn't recommend it as it could brick your... -

It was and still is a chinese cam, however i have since flashed it with unmodified 5.2.0 and 5.2.3 from the web interface following the mtd5/mtd6 mod to change it to an english region camera. That said, im now on 5.2.5. after flashing via the tftp method, perhaps i will now be able to flash to... -

the hacks working fine. the mtd5 and mtd6 where altered as instructed, and the language on 5.2.0 and 5.2.3 reverted from chinese to english after the hack. -

sadly not. I'm now down to it either being a problem with the battery which ill look into tomorrow daytime, or yes its going back. At least given the help of this forum, i was able to rule out the chinese messing around with the firmware, and end up with an updated firmware in a language i speak!- bouncy

ok now im completely confused, we are back to english. i thought id cleared the cache on all 3 of the browsers i use for testing. lets hope it stays english :) will this persist to an update to 5.2.5 like the cbx region changer, or is it just a fix for each version of the firmware? -

thanks networkcameracritic, however I have not been as successfully. I have followed your very easy to follow instructions to the letter, and the language is unfortunately still chinese. Ive dumped the files again to check that my changes persisted which they did, yet no change. can anybody help?
