I picked up a second 5442e z4e and I installed it on my hikvision nvr, but for some reason cant get the stream in the nvr webgui or ivms. This same thing happened with the last one but it was 2 years ago and I don't remember what I had to do. Tried searching but couldn't come up with anything...
Used a cam for a dedicated LPR but I just freeze the video and look at the picture.
Running into issues with an ex wife. Any way I can get a program that will send me notifications if her plate gets captured?
Thank you
So I have it setup for snapshot now. Question chose ivs, fast moving, motor vehicle. As far as the graphics go, do I just draw a big square in the whole frame?
First off everything I have learned over the past 2 months is amazing. I've had cams since 2016 and they were basically worthless compared to how you all helped me dial them in.
Recommended in another post I removed the default gateway on all my cams and deleted port forwarding so I'm only...
Messing with this and reading all past posts, you are a similar distance as me. Do you run b/w 24/7 and just focus once? Also if 24/7 b/w do I still create 2 profiles for let's say 1/4000 day and 1/2000 night or just 1 profile and everything thr same day night 24/7 b/w?
Can't figure out this night thing. I'm at 1/2000. First is me driving by at 40mph. 2nd is the next guy 3rd right behind him and can't read. Is this lighting exposure or focus?
Thanks for your help. Had poe cams for 7 years and had no clue about exposure settings or any of this stuff. Running much better picture now. My daughter's bike got stolen out of our front yard and saw the whole thing on night vision and couldn't make out who it was or the plate. Useless...
Ok so if I put focus on manual, then go to live view and focus it on day profile, then again tonight in night, it will remember when it switch between day and night?
You're right. I was adjusting at 20. I'll have to reduce that and dial it in tomorrow. Got the illuminator right on. Hopefully it's my last step for night. Day is good. Night 1/2000 seems to be good. I'll get the focus hammered out tomorrow. My wife is wondering what the hell I'm doing...
I'm about 147 feet away. Got the ir illuminator dialed in exact. Does this plate look good? Slightly digitally zoomed. 5 to 50mm fully optical zoomed. B/w, 1/2000, gain 50%, hlc 37%. Manually focused. This pic look good? Thats driving by at 40mph.

Camera is at full zoom. I mounted the axton right below the camera. Attached the mount to the SD card cover screw with a longer screw. I turned my other front yard cam on night and I can see the axton streaking across my yard. Looks like the location is perfect right at the street in front...
So ya it's on. Got this from about 140 feet away at an angle. Good or can I do better? Needed digital zoom to read but I could read it. That's me stopped. Don't know how it will work with somebody driving by.
