    This is how it just stall. SADP detects the DVR on that IP. I set the laptop to have 192.168.1.128 on the same subnet. Laptop->non-POE (and managed) switch<-DVR I tried the direct cable method too - Same result. The DVR shows up in SADP there too. I tried with an older firmware, with both...

    You mean 192.0.0.64 and not 192.0.0.128 right? Just to ensure that it's not the device IP, but server IP we are specifying. I did on a stand-alone switch (non poe) I just tried on a router, to force an IP on the dvr.
