    Why oh why does this forum only save the update files and not the full installs? Seems kinda stupid. Updates can be handy but if your version is crashing you can't go backwards on update installs. :nervous:

    I used to use a KVM switch but they are hit and miss plus all the extra cables, RDC has been less of a pain lol Part of my issue is my main display is 5k.

    Bottom right corner of BI, it actually list CPU % and the number of RAM being used. It was way higher before this new update.

    It's been higher on these newer versions. I just installed the 6.0.1.3 so we will see. RAM was at 60% now 10%

    The lag only happens over time, reboot and it's normal again for a day.

    Using 6.0.0.1 through 5.9.9.99, i get huge camera lag around 30sec if not more. I know BI is the issue since i can log into WEB GUI of cameras and they all work fine. BI will not let me go back any further than 5.9.9.99. What happens if i use a update file of a prior version?

    What about using shielded or unshielded.? Also do you need Direct-Burial cable if you run it through a PVC pipe? Just trying to save a few $$.

    Camera draws 12w 25w max if everything was on, heater alarm etc which will never happen.

    I need to do a long run for a POE camera does it matter if i use the cheaper CAT5E or should i upgrade to CAT6 or above? 300 feet run powering a POE+ PTZ. May need a POE extender not sure yet. A quick search says CAT5E can handle 100watts.

    I have a recording i want to save and every time i do the export i only get part of the clip, as you can see it says the clip is 4hr 59min. All i am doing is right clicking on it convert/export and i only get a few min of the video. What am i doing wrong?

    direct burial cable or put it into a conduit?

    A animal decided to chew on mine and break a few wires, they dug it up. I did not have it buried very deep living in a rock pile county makes for hard digging. It was a couple of young foxes. Just need to find some decent female to female couplers for a short term fix.

    About 10-12 years ago i used direct burial cat5e in the past year or so i have had intermittent issues. I have been wanting to re-do the cameras i have on a pole outside it is a long run at around 250ft. Should i put the cable in a conduit or should i just use direct burial cable again?

    I have this one ip camera that goes on/off on hot days 85+ Fahrenheit. I can unplug it’s cable from my poe switch plug it back in and it works again for a little while… so a heat issue.     I like it! My co-worker has another idea and wants to use galvanized poles painted to match the gutters and use clamps to hold the pole to the gutter and simply run the cat5 cable inside the pole with the camera using a pole mount. Not sure how much weight that could hold.
