    LAN Address Changed?

Hey! Earlier this year I set up a BI PC with all the help from the site, and many thanks. It's been flawless. Had been able to view cameras remotely via OpenVPN and BI3. Until, tonight. I tried it as it had been awhile. Suddenly, I could not log on to the LAN. I could Remote Desktop Connect...

Continuous Recording to One Drive or Split?

Hey! I've got my BI server and 9 cameras up and running, looking good. I have 2 HHD and 2 or 3 cameras that continuously record. On review of drive status, is see that they continuously record to one drive, while the other drive is getting the clips. I will likely split these so I don't lose...

Blue Iris and OpenVPN--It Works, But Did I Do It Right?

Great, thanks! I haven't decided which to use, OpenVPN or Tailscale. You have any reasons I should choose one over the other? One of these day, I'd like to put together a concise methodology of how I made this work for other newbies like me who are astute enough to learn from scratch but have...

(To the newbies, dual NIC is the best way to go. Spend the $15 and save your self many hours of troubleshooting into the...

OpenVPN and Blue Iris on Separate Network?

Yes, aside from the NIC x 2, this is basically my setup. I have seen descriptions of the dual NICs but other descriptions on how this was not needed assuming everything is set up correctly, since the VLAN is essentially the other network. Any suggestions?

OpenVPN and Blue Iris on Separate Network?

Thank you for responding. No, I cannot access the Remote WAN IP address supplied in the Web server tab using Chrome from the home xxx.0.xxx network. I can access the BI compute using Remote Connect from my home desktop on the xxx.0.xxx network.

OpenVPN and Blue Iris on Separate Network?

Hello! I've got BI working pretty good on a Swann camera-salvage home system. It runs on a separate computer 192.168.10.xxx. I have my home network on 192.168.0.xxx using Omada ER605. A POE switch powers the cameras, and an open port is plugged into an unmanaged switch on the xxx.0.xxx home...

Camera Network and Home Network Interface?

Hello! I've been lurking thru this site for several years when I started playing with Blue Iris several years ago, and was going to run a PC-based camera system. Then my wife goes and buys a Swann system from Costco and has it installed....Ok, now that the NVR has died, it's time to go to...
