Is there anything different with blue iris purchased from amcrest vs the blue iris website?
Amcrest has it listed at $54.99. It's $99.95 directly from blue iris.
Got it. Ya I was ignoring the W at the end. I had no idea the 2203W was updated. I'm glad you pointed this out!
Do you know if the PFB2203W works with the T54IR-ZE-S3 camera?
Thanks! So if I want to use a 5442 with a PFB203W, I would just need to use dielectric grease at the female end coming out of the camera, make the connection, wrap it in self-fusing tape, overwrap with 3m 33+, and close the hole with duct seal?
Thanks. How are people using waterproof connectors? Even, for example, with a soffit camera installation, the Ethernet wire coming out of the house is male end and the pigtail on the camera is female
Can anyone link a waterproof connecter that works with the PFB203W?
I'm looking at this one on amazon: (https://a.co/d/0gdBCspC), but I am not sure how this would work. The pigtail connecter on the T54IR-ZE-S3 is female, and the terminated ethernet coming out of the house is male. It seems like...
You mean the PFB203W? What about for mounting vertically on wood siding?
I'm wondering if a mix would work better. I have a few locations that look like the picture below. I think the circular junction box would look better here than the wall mount that sticks out.
Is this a reasonable mount to use for T54IR-ZE-S3 on a vertical brick wall? I'm not sure if this is a cheap knock off, or the same thing empiretech sells?

Are there any reasonable POE doorbell cameras that record 24/7, work with blue iris, come in black color, and have package detection? Reolink doesn't seem interested in ever updating their POE doorbell camera.
I'm estimating the columns will be 2 feet x 2 feet.
Here is a schematic drawing of the deck. I'm thinking running the wire straight through may not be the best because the stairs in front of the back right column (circled in red) will obstruct the view.
I have a walkout basement and a deck is being installed. One of the cameras under the deck has a column being built right at the wire exit point. The plan is to route this wire through the deck column.
The column is in contact with the back of the home. I'm trying to figure out which "face" of...
Assuming I use a coupler that can be used with terminated cables, does this cable make sense to use for the extension?

Thanks. Any chance you could post a link to something that would work? When searching solid copper cable, all I'm getting is long rolls of unterminated cables. I'm trying to avoid having to buy tools to terminate cables and a long roll when I really only need maybe 5-10 feet.
edit: maybe...
Do they make pre-terminated solid copper CAT6? I only need maybe a 5-10 foot cable. Plan would be to cut one end so I can trim excess cable to the correct length.
Thanks. The cable is solid. What kind of cable would you have connected to the other end of the coupler? I'll have the solid cable that is already there connected to the coupler. Just not sure what to put on the other end.
Thanks
I have an ethernet cable that was going to be used for a camera installed on a brick wall. The brick wall is now going to have a brick column up against it right where the ethernet cable comes out. So now I need to extend the ethernet cable a little so it is long enough to pass through the brick...
