    How to bypass Windows password

If you had no password defined, just press Enter and it should get you right in.

Could BlueIris 6.0 be around the corner?

Thank you. That leads me to another question - which probably is starting to get off-topic, if that's so I'd ask a mod to either let me know or split this thread to another one - which is: Is there any self-hosted solution for a doorbell cam? Can BI be used for that? Or is there any other more...

Could BlueIris 6.0 be around the corner?

Bummer... How laggy? 0,5sec tops? Or more than that? Nooo, I don't think so. These are those sort of chinese cameras that almost force you to use their apps and ask for every permission on and then some on your phone. I set them up on a separate network from my main lan and from the internet...

    BI hardware question

Thanks. I'm just learning about push notifications - I was under the impression that they went through whatever program you were using backend server - didn't know it used google's services. I was dismissing push notifications because the few solutions I read about required me to create an...

    BI hardware question

Good evening all. What network ports are used by push notifications and the Android app? Cheers!

Could BlueIris 6.0 be around the corner?

Well, I have a cheap (around $1.5) Android app for RTSP streams that I use with my current setup and it works perfectly with BI. Two-stream audio was exactly the reason I was going for the oficial app - It would save me the expense of installing a video doorbell - and, from what I could gather...

    DHCP or static?

In case someone needs this and doesn't know about it: https://www.dhcpserver.de/cms/ A portable DHCP server for windows, great for running alongside BI or whatever Windows VMS you happen to use. Saves the configuration on a plain text file. Easy to administer, configure and backup.

Dual NIC setup on your Blue Iris Machine

Was browsing the forum and found out this thread - and I had already done this on my BI test machine (which will become my main machine soon). Cameras <-------- CCTV VLAN <-------- Ethernet Adapter 1 <- BI PC with DHCP -> Ethernet Adapter 2 ---------> Main VLAN --------> Internet I have a...

Could BlueIris 6.0 be around the corner?

I don't doubt that for a second - the time I've spent with the trial version tells me it's a fine piece of software. But please understand: From a quick Google search, the average monthly salary in the US is around $4000, but in Portugal is around $1400 - and I don't even make it to the four...

I trying out BI for the first time - I'm almost at the end of the 15-day trial.

Could BlueIris 6.0 be around the corner?

A question: Let's assume I buy v5 now and (I assume) I have access to all the updates during one year. That year goes by without v6 coming out - what options do I have to upgrade from v5 to v6 when it does come out? Does the one-time 1yr extension (without renewals) grant me that upgrade?

No idea - I haven't seen it yet.

Could BlueIris 6.0 be around the corner?

That's a pity. I tried the software and it's quite good - now I'm holding onto my old setup waiting for the version 6 to come out to go ahead and purchase it.

    BI hardware question

Thanks for the heads up. Right now these cameras fit the bill while I look around - found a local website selling Dahua IP cameras at a nice price point - I'll keep an eye for a sale on any of them. I'll also be looking at other decent brands. Cheers!

    BI hardware question

Of course, in pretty much the same way a car can cost 15k or 1500k - I must find whatever fits my budget. EDIT: And I understand why you have prices without taxes on your side of the pond, but over here you pay what's on the sticker - that's why I was surprised.

    BI hardware question

Please notice I didn't say it isn't worth the money - but it's a heavy burden on my budget. Maybe 100€ is small change in the US, but over here is a big slice of my income. I wouldn't mind it if it was a one-time payment, but with yearly renewals it's hard to justify - unless I can't find...

    BI hardware question

Thanks for the tip - I was already considering something like that, since I'm moving all my stuff into a cabinet, and the laptop will no longer be in line-of-sight (and the image quality was crap anyway). On a side note: I hate when websites advertise prices without tax (or at least without...

    BI hardware question

Welp, I went ahead and got a slightly better laptop (Ryzen 5 5500 and 12Gb RAM), clean Windows 10 Pro install and installed the BI demo on it. It was late, and I didn't get the chance to try many things, but so far I'm pleased at the CPU/RAM usage compared to ContaCam. I now have 14 days to...

    BI hardware question

Hello there! I'm a new forum user, but I've been running a home setup for some years now, consisting of three cameras (2 IPCams + 1 Laptop webcam) on a laptop (i5-8250U / 8Gb RAM / SSD) running Windows 10 Pro and ContaCam software. The reason why I use a laptop is because of energy usage -...

Looking for cheap IP camera without strings attached and WebUI

Just found out that the ESCAM PT301's wifi antenas are... fake! I dropped the camera while installing it, and one of the antenas popped off - and it's just plastic, without any metal contacts whatsoever - and the hole where they fit in the camera is just that - a gapping see-through hole...

Looking for cheap IP camera without strings attached and WebUI

The camera I'm replacing (left) and the one I installed recently banging my head around the need for an app and no web UI (right). Both fulfill my needs perfectly, but the left camera died recently, so I need a replacement.

Looking for cheap IP camera without strings attached and WebUI

I'd say anything below 50€ would be cheap, between 50€ and 100€ would be acceptable, anything over 100€ out of my budget. Right now I'm aiming to replace a 720p camera with IR and RJ45 connector - and that's about it for my needs. 1080p would be a nice bonus, anything over is overkill. All...

Looking for cheap IP camera without strings attached and WebUI

Good afternoon all! At my home, both of my cameras are manufactured in China, and the picture quality is fine, as I'm not demanding. I've already got the cameras on a dedicated vlan (to cut them off the outside world) and the only access is through a laptop running ContaCam and two network...

Good afternoon all! I've got a home setup with ContaCam and two (so far) cameras. I've been lurking on this forum on and off when needed, but decided to finally register myself to ask questions and - hopefuly - help others with my limited experience. Thank you for having me! Cheers!
