    Dahua DMSS push notification fiasco

HOLY SHIT!!!! This was it!!! Thank you @bigredfish . Out of curiosity, 2 Cameras I want to have notifications always on. The other 3 I would love to get but only from like 1am to 5am, Would this be set up through DMSS? or would I set it up in the camera web browser. Another thing, are we still...

    Dahua DMSS push notification fiasco

Maaaannnn, This whole thing makes no sense to me. After dinking around with settings and a few resets, the 2 of 5 cameras that I care about getting DMSS phone notifications started working again. If I log into my NVR via web browser and search for events, it has "most" of the tripwires detected...

    Dahua DMSS push notification fiasco

Hey @bigredfish , nice to hear from you again, and thank you for the response. Regarding the spider web.... It is interesting, I have noticed that I get false alerts from what I am guessing is light reflections. For instance, sometimes the IPC-Color4K-T180 front door camera will give false...

    Dahua DMSS push notification fiasco

Hey guys. So it's been a year or so and my system "NVR5216-16P-4KS2E" NVR with an assortment of Empiretech Andy's cameras has been working more or less good. My front door camera was giving me push notifications to DMSS on my phone along with another camera that I wanted. The other two cameras...

    5442 varifocal - Substream 1 is a bit "lurchy"

@wittaj, did you happen to catch my "Acid Rain Video" post? I had a video in there. If you watch the short video, it's crazy that that was seemingly just a vbr thing....

    5442 varifocal - Substream 1 is a bit "lurchy"

@ipmania, for what it's worth, I was having some problems with my picture on the same cam. I ended up switching it up to CBR as high as I could at 15fps which I think was 8192. This seemed to clear everything up. For some reason when set on variable the bitrate kept spiking and going as low as...

    IP8M-T2669EW-AI Flash to dahua/empiretech

Yes, and I read that. However, it sounded like Cameras with newer firmware than the firmware date installed in mine. There are a lot of the guys in this forum that had luck or no luck, but I couldn't find great info on this particular camera model. That's why I thought id toss this out there.

    IP8M-T2669EW-AI Flash to dahua/empiretech

Hey guys, so I bought a couple of these off of amazon to play around with and see how they work. I have read that some of you guys had had luck flashing them to dahua/empiretech firmware. A lot of Amcrest to dahua/empiretech luck, but I was having trouble finding correct info for these cameras...

    Acid Rain Picture Quality

So I figured I'd just post my findings in case it helps out the next guy. After checking all my cables and connections I factory reset the camera which seemed to get me back with a "clearer" picture. But after playing around with my camera settings some more the picture started to get back to...

    Acid Rain Picture Quality

Hey guys, I seriously don't know what to call this, but for some reason over the last day or so one of my cameras has developed this acid rain static picture. I want to say I noticed it when it was raining last night and thought it had to do with that. But it hasn't changed. In the day it isn't...

Dahua NVR and Camera Setup - Best Practice

Yeah, actually I have a couple of weird things going on that are new. By pushing through, I mean I get a push notification on my phone, which strangely enough are showing up on my front door camera, but not the back patio. 2ndly I am no longer getting live feed from cellular data, keeps timing...

Dahua NVR and Camera Setup - Best Practice

Oh man, so this was after midnight and I may or may not have been a few beers in, but I want to say that unplugged the camera, rebooted the nvr. As I mentioned I took ethernet to a switch and out of the switch to the NVR and Cam. It showed up on the top pane with the 10.1.1.xx and I'm pretty...

Dahua NVR and Camera Setup - Best Practice

@bigredfish Well Update..... So the PSA process works pretty well. I was able to get most of the 5 cameras to do their own pushing down to the bottom, but one was being difficult even after a factory reset. Given its location (not easy to plug the NVR into) I "forced it" down after finding it...

Dahua NVR and Camera Setup - Best Practice

AHHHHH!!!! Because my house is under remodeling, I have friggin switches everywhere! Like 4 or 5 of them. 2 are Poe and they are the only two I have running cameras. With this advice, I might take a look at my "temporary routing" LOL. Wait, actually, I think I have everything under the 192.168.2...

Hey guys, So Noobie here, and with full disclosure, I bought a bunch of stuff and hooked it up figuring I'd learn as I go. Best practice for a guy like me lol. So I bought an NVR5216-16P-4Ks2E, and a fun combination of @EMPIRETECANDY cameras along with a couple of Amcrest amazon 4K on sale...
