6Mpx (5.7 lol) is not a compromise, if you are going for night go 4Mpx, if you need extra details in daytime go for 8Mpx. Overall new 2xxG2H cameras works well, but switching LED/IR depends on scenario, Ive encountered few times when big dogs were detected as human, also weather is problematic...

83G2 is not equal to old 85FWD and 85FWD-(B) series, if you are looking for something equal/better then look for 86G2 series and for now C versions.
