Critical Linux Warning: 800,000 Devices Are EXPOSED

Many older all-in-one routers used to include Telnet access, and some gave the option of LAN only or LAN + WAN. Most producers came to their senses long ago, but there may still be some configured that way and still in service.

Blue Iris Version 6.0.1.24 Now Supports Custom Models

I agree with the helpful comparison between the YOLOv8 and YOLOv10 for the most part, except in my case YOLOv10 seems to run slightly slower (on an Intel i5-8500 with integrated graphics 630). Distant/small object detection seems a bit worse with v10, often taking longer to detect until they...

Blue Iris Version 6.0.1.24 Now Supports Custom Models

Wow, it must have been added in the last few days, as it wasn't part of the last round of additions and changes (to the aimodelpack) on 01/24/2026. Thanks, testing now.

Thanks, those are impressive analysis times: which NVIDIA card is that? I'm making the assumption that no onboard (motherboard) GPU could achieve those times.

Blue Iris Version 6.0.1.24 Now Supports Custom Models

Hmm...are you only referring to the truly "old" versions (that go back 2-3+ years), or have you been testing the "new" .onyx versions published roughly one week ago by @MikeLud1 (see post #1 Github link above)? The built-in BI AI only supports ONYX versions (with some specific version...

Blue Iris Version 6.0.1.24 Now Supports Custom Models

It might be helpful to revisit the subject of what each model uses for naming of objects (capitalization of person vs. Person), and/or how these interact with BI's use of shorthand macros (persons, vehicles, wildlife) and where each can be used. A matrix/table perhaps?

Send Pushover notifications with pictures and hyperlinks

Hmm...yes, in situations (certain cameras and/or schedules) where I'm using ONVIF triggers exclusively, the MEMO portion does come through on the Pushover alert, but not at all on camera schedules that use a combined BI motion (with the new built-in AI) alongside ONVIF triggers, or even on the...

Send Pushover notifications with pictures and hyperlinks

I have been successfully using Pushover and this method for well over three years, but noticed that (starting roughly six months ago) I no longer receive the "&MEMO" portion of the alert. I haven't changed the formatting of my Pushover curl command at all over this period, but I don't receive...

Just upgraded to 6.x.20 version; CPU @ 110% now, most cameras no signal; help!

Yes, yours will have it, no question...every version since December 18, 2025 (Version 6.0.1.2, 6.0.1.3, 6.0.1.4 etc...) has had the option to use the built-in AI.

Just upgraded to 6.x.20 version; CPU @ 110% now, most cameras no signal; help!

Yes, 3 is acceptable . You might also need to check that AI didn't get turned on unintentionally on each camera, including facial recognition and license plate settings.

Just upgraded to 6.x.20 version; CPU @ 110% now, most cameras no signal; help!

Try going to the main (overall settings) BI tab for AI, and turn down maximum connections from the default 30 or 40 down to 2 or 4, particularly if you are using a system with only an iGPU, not a dedicated graphics card.

    Onvif alerts

Please report this to Ken (the developer of BI). I am seeing this as well on the most recent versions, it seems to be running the internal BI AI analysis on ONVIF events, even when we have specifically told BI to only run AI on "motion and overlap". I would bug him myself, but I don't want to...

    Reducing CPU Usage

Err...yes, that was mentioned in my post as well, the fan should remain fixed/stationary, both to preserve the bearings and to avoid turning the fan into a (voltage) generator.
  16. J

    Reducing CPU Usage

Yes, those CPU temps are pretty high, but they seem to have been polled when the CPU utilization was also quite high (first column typically). Either way, it warrants further investigation: at a minimum, a full interior of computer case cleaning, particularly the CPU fan and cooler. Compressed...

    Reducing CPU Usage

If you want to try one more thing before going through the hassle of a full OS reinstallation, you might want to try this out to essentially do an "in-place" debloat, it allows you turn off many unwanted services in Windows (10 or 11). https://www.oo-software.com/en/shutup10

    Reducing CPU Usage

You said BI is shut down when you are still seeing roughly 20% CPU usage, but is it still potentially running as a service in the background? Go the the Windows "Services" tab/plugin/panel and double-check from there that BI is truly shut down fully.
  19. J

    Reducing CPU Usage

You might want to check the global (overall) AI settings, including reducing the number of simultaneous connections: oftentimes this carries over as the previously recommended setting of 40, now Ken has said either in the help file or release notes that 2 to 4 works far better for many systems...

Onvif alerts not working in BI6

What exact version of B!6? 6.0.1.10 had this problem with Alert times not be in "alignment'. I notified Ken and it was fixed in all the following versions (see release notes that refer to a JSON problem).

    Permanent "Holiday" Lights discussion

All I can say for now is "ditto" to every point you made. I even bought the exact same lights as you did (Black Friday/Cyber Monday deal), but had to put off the installation until the weather improves a bit (and now that the hectic holiday season is over). I do have an open soffit situation to...

Blue Iris Updates - Official Thread

Wow, it seems that a few of you wanted to try out 6.0.1.10 anyway despite my warning. Ken has confirmed my bug report and is planning to release a fix later this evening or tomorrow. He didn't say if it would retain the same version number or be bumped up to 6.0.1.11

Blue Iris Updates - Official Thread

I would suggest avoiding 6.0.1.10, it turned on AI analysis on a camera that had it turned off previously, then would continually re-add it back "on" even when unchecking the boxes and saving. I will let Ken know....

Add Sunrise Sunset to Time Plan Settings

Yes, your image above is the right way to achieve the automatic offset relative to the ever changing sunrise/sunset times. I've had it setup this way for a few years now and never have to touch it. Your image shows 22 minutes of offset for today, and it will keep the same number of minutes all year.

    Blue Iris UI3

Haven't had time to thoroughly test this, but I seem to have a "new" problem with 6.0.1.8 and the UI3 links sent with Pushover alerts: they now don't open the exact clip I'm expecting, but rather some more or less random (but within the same hour) time from the correct camera. It may be from...

    Version 6.0.1

I didn't realize I had started an entire sub-topic of discussion in regards to holiday lights and getting our cameras to deal with those, LOL. Yes, I will also be moving to permanent holiday lights as well next year (purchased, but didn't have enough time yet for this season, open soffit...

    Version 6.0.1

Sounds good in theory, but in practice the hanging icicle light strings aren't "seen" or identified at all, until they are blowing around, in which case CPAI (or the new built-in BI AI) will sometimes identify them as a person, which is really unhelpful, or, as I said before, will trick the...

    Version 6.0.1

Nearly all of that bot's explanation is directly available in the BI help file. Regardless, in actual practice, I haven't found this feature particularly useful: in one of my camera views, at this time of the year only, my holiday icicle lights very slightly obscure the views across my lawn and...

Weren't you also working on retraining/reworking your YOLO5 models into YOLO11.NET format? Or has that been shelved?
