    I'm having a hard time getting a IPC-Color4k-X to work using POE from a Mikrotik hAP ac3 router/AP. The Mikrotik specs indicate that it has passive POE (not 802.1af or at). Does anyone have any experience with this working or not working? Thanks!

    When/Where to use 8MP-1/1.2 vs. 4MP-1/1.8?

    I'm wondering if there are general guidelines for when 8MP-1/1.2 cameras would be smarter to use vs. 4MP-1/1.8 cameras? Is a 1/1.2 always better (i.e., would turning down the 8MP camera to 4MP yield a better image than a 4MP-1/1.8 camera? Thank you!
