    Just checked my system and it looks fine with only alerts showing for that cam in UI3. If it’s doing the exact same in the main BI UI then the DB might be screwed up? If you select a clip shown for the wrong camera does it actually play that wrong cam clip?

    I’ve had a play, if I deselect single cam view then I can see the red dots but if I select the single cam view then depending on the cam most disappear but there are random ones but they don’t align with the actual recordings. There is def something cocky going on with these red indicators...

    I’m still not getting any indication of recordings present when looking at a calendar view, as I said before I used to get a red circle before to indicate that there is a recording.

    Yep looking at modified dates, even stranger is it’s the 20th today but the extra file is dated last modified yesterday at around the time I restarted the VM?

    In my test system as I said a proper restart of the desktop didn’t write anything to the file, when it came up it still had the same date/time from 4 days ago.

    That makes sense except when I restarted my test system the file didn’t get updated, the logs did have an entry along of the lines of unexpected shutdown so maybe the BI service on restart didn’t terminate properly?

    Has anybody noticed that with the most recent updates the mobile phone app, iOS for me no longer indicates that a clip has been recorded Used to show a red dot before but now most have nothing and some have a dark grey dot?

    This statement in the changelog "If you make DB backups, only the records.dat is required." Can somebody please check? Reason I ask is on my test system I see data being written to the file extra.dat but my records.dat was last update some 4 days ago ?

    Good simple util called Recuva that can be used to get some of the clip files back that you may have lost over the last day. Make to recover the files to another drive and not onto the same drive, then copy over the files and run a reindex.

    Yes, am with you on the db regen and not recording, I have my weekly regen set to Sunday lunch time for this reason.

    You can put the BI PC anywhere provided you can or have a cable back to the POE switch. I run my BI PC with dual Ethernet cards and headless, PC is in the attic, my POE switch is also on the attic I then have Ethernet cable running from the PC to my my home network.
