Hi all Just had the installer set everything up. I have five 2CD2335 IP cams and Hik 7616 NI E2/8P NVR. All ethernet cables have been tested as working OK before connecting the cams. The cams are from Aliexpress so cannot reset them. I am in Australia by the way. NVR is proper English version... -
Where to use Dome vs Turret cams (LED reflection on Dome cams)
Hi I am in a dilemna... I was completely sold on the Hik 2332 seeing so many members say good things about it. But then it got discontinued and replaced by 2335. Also I read about the LED reflection on dome at night which can cause light flooding / whiteness in image and you cant see anything... -

2.8mm vs 4mm
Is the 2032 mounted higher or is it a result of the 4mm lens that you can see the houses across the street, whereas in the 2.8mm you cant see the houses on other side of street ... -

Hi milkisbad I'm In Australia and was previously looking at Aliexpress. But also saw the tens of "Help! I'm stuck with Chinese firmware" threads which put me off a little bit. Have you shipped to Australia before ? After 4-5 Hik PoE cameras and the newer 7608 NVR which can take 2 x 4TB disks...- geek7899

Thanks Just so I understand you second statement fully is this how the PoE would plug in .... Cameras plug into PoE. PoE plugs into NVR and NVR plugs into router. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk- geek7899

Planning to buy 6 Hik IP cameras and was looking at getting the DS-7608NI-E2/8P, since this is a 8ch NVR . It also comes with "8 independent 100Mbps PoE Ethernet interfaces".
