I've been trawling the forums to find a response to my question here, but just came across this thread. I believe in your case, updating the NVR caused issues, not resetting to default. Thanks ... but I couldn't have done it without you and femderman's useful info. No idea why it didn't pick up, probably a 'glitch' ... Actually the camera had been allocated the same IP 192.0.0.64 by DHCP as was evident in one of the screenshots on last page. And its a 7616 NI E2/8P, not 7608... -

Hi mate .... I should have mentioned in my previous post, after a restart, everything is working fine ! I can view all the monitor feeds in NVR GUI. :) Thanks for your help all along ... This is EXACTLY what I did and it worked after a restart Now onto bigger things like camera settings... -

Managed to get a monitor and plugged into back of NVR via VGA. When I go into settings for camera, I can enter password. But after that message comes up saying "The user is locked" A simple shutdown and restart fixed this problem ! -

OK, here is the current scenario. I can access each cameras web GUI and video live video, change date time, OSD etc etc. But still cannot see all cameras together in NVR Live View page :( I then try and access the NVR. It shows one of the cams as still offline, with IP address 192.168.254.6... -

Houston, we have a go !! Can't thank you enough mate ! Also, another setting I had to change was the camera time. When I changed the time zone to my city in the drop down box, it wouldn't save the settings. I had to tick "Sync with computer time" for the correct time to show up. Is this the... -

I cant even access the webpage ! I'm in Australia btw On a similar note, I have five Aliexpress sourced 2335's (firmware 5.3.3) and a 7616 NI E2/8P NVR (firmware 3.3.2). The cameras are plugged into the back of NVR PoE ports. Have a thread about my issue here... -

Hi Jibbeh Camera Firmware The firmware is on all cams (Hik 2335) is 5.3.3. This was the latest selling on Ali at that time and I double checked if that was in English ... which I was told by seller that it is English firmware. NVR Firmware NVR Firmware is 3.3.2. Other details are in... -

Which size, aspct ratio monitor should I get ?
Hi all, I have a Hik 7616 NI E2/8P NVR and would like to get a standalone monitor to connect to the NVR. The NVR has both VGA and HDMI outputs. Is any one better than the other when it comes to viewing cams ? Currently have 5 cams but will go upto 8. The cams are 3MP, so full HD monitor...- geek7899

iVMS (hikvision NVR iOS app) can you view alerts?
On a side note, which app are you using. I have an iPhone, and there are multiple apps iVMS available, with three of them in English and rest in Chinese. The ones in English are iVMS 4500 lite, iVMS 4520 and iVMS 5260 So, which one it is ...... ?- geek7899

Thanks so much for your input fenderman. Just run SADP and only the NVR shows up, no cams ! I am following Nelly's Security setup guide here and it says, the cams should be visible there ! -

I am now accessing the web interface thru my desktop which has a 1900 x 1200 full HD samsung monitor I am guessing he may not have done some configuration ... It shows Offline (IP camera does not exist). There are five cameras physically connected to that NVR ! My local network is 192.168.1.xxx -
