    Why not mount the camera on the junction box itself? Would hide the wire and look cleaner in my humble opinion :D

    Def absurd. It's funny how everyone is freaking out over Hikvision, as if the routers, firewalls, phones, computers, networking equipment all isn't made in China. I got news for you, they can get into any network or camera they want.

    Yup, a bug that I've been too lax about fixing because I don't like the solution. Please ignore for now until I figure out what to do. Turn off auto update as well

    Have you tried to factory reset the camera? What about downgrading firmware?
