Trying to get this new camera all adjusted, positioned, and dialed in this morning. First trick was tightening down the mounting screws. Reviewing the images after that revealed the need to insert a few washers/shims behind one side of the camera mount, to better center the driveway image...- VorlonFrog

It apparently has some default password set for the Onvif user 'admin' and I cannot change it without that original password. Kinda frustrating... Thank you for those profile strings. Nope, autodetect did not provide these strings. Here's the initial output from autodetect: I think I figured out the problem. Yes, and autodetection did not provide the profile strings / media paths. :( Interestingly enough, when I forced the camera manufacturer to Dahua, it provided the URL/path.- VorlonFrog

ANNNNNNDDDDDDDD . . . While the password set facility allows the use of '&' ampersand characters in passwords, the HTML web GUI and login screen FAILS to accept a password containing an ampersand. This is the perfect replacement for the Dahua IPC-HDW5231R-Z on my driveway. Purchase is being driven by the recent failure of a IPC-T549M that covers my back door. The current driveway 5231 varifocal will replace the back-door camera, and this will now provide multiple views down the driveway.- VorlonFrog
