    If he has Free Conduit then 1 single or even 2 will work. If Not then Yup SFP for the win..you can run Fiber cable in 120v conduit from 1 building to another.

    Extenders only go about 100m(328Feet)..I would try it and see how it goes...Have 1-2 open spots for a water tight box in case you need extenders or what ever you go with.

    Seeing you are running extra out there... You might have to put in a Booster of some sort about half way. This is to keep the (Cat 6) Signal strong enough to not be dropping out all the time. or just do this type on both ends Just an example : Pricey but there are other choices out there...

    Here is a quick topography of my test setup.... Note** Switch not connected to the INTERNET (just says NET. Below) ALL VLANS on the Switch are untagged. No Default Gateways....on both laptops(Blank) So to recap I set up the laptop and Cam get into Dahua program.(Vlan 70) Everything working good...

    Well, at first the laptop was in the Factory IP range of the CAM and on another Vlan 70 ( Vlan 70 only has 2 ports-untagged)...once I got into the Dahua program. I changed the IP of the Cam to the IP range of the BI machine.(Then Saved the IP) Then Unplugged the Cam from the Switch and put it...

    Do you have to have a SD card in the Cam for it to retain settings ? I ask because the power has gone out here 2-3 times and I have to go in and Do a Factory reset to get the camera to work on BI5. Am I doing something wrong here..Missing something ??

    Yup I can do Vlan routing.... but I Have to admit..I am feeling a little overwhelmed..ATM. Have ACL..... I know I can... just figuring out how is my issue ATM. Feel free to start a Conversation.... ;)
