    I have My Cams and BI all on 1 Vlan. That Vlan is blocked from getting to the net at all. But 1 exception to the BI -IP address to get what it needs. Still not sure it is working as planned but that will come later.

    only using 1 CAM to TEST atm.....all my settings are about the Same only my Cut is at 6MB not 8....Also noted in my older Version of BI I have is Continuous +Triggered Each Maybe my Trigger setting is off some how. Doing Motion detection...

    TY for the Reply--yup I am Green. I get clips on the left but the timeline used to give me Orange lines in the timeline that showed alerts..but now Timeline is just 1 big long blue bar. Using an older version of BI (a few years) a waiting a new MOBO and CPU to arrive.

    I am continuous stream on my Cams (Direct to disk) but some how I lost all the alerts on the timeline. what did I screw up ? I have motion for alerts. ATM-- was messing around with the settings and went full on stupid I guess.........

    Ha...It is still working. I am actually using it on that same Test Setup (my front porch) Try'n to figure out the FOV. Messing with settings so I can find out what Fixed cam I can use there. will start another Thread for that Q........

    Have my test cam all set up..it got Clobbered by a Rouge straight line wind and fell over. You think a HD bucket and a 8 foot 2 x 4 with concrete half way full would have been enough. Cam took some damage( do not trust it ) so got another coming.

    Thanks -- wittaj I have seen a few post about the Bugs and IR and Lights. I am getting down to the Pull that Trigger time for buying my Cams. ( I even have the bosses/Wife Approval to open the check book) Time to strike while the Iron is Hot :D. but not going crazy until I get all my Temps...

    Just getting ready for my Cam placements and want some ideas before setting temp test stands/Cams 1) Can a cam be mounted directly Above or Below a Light source ? I was wondering if it would get too much wash from Glare. 2) Also what about the Cam facing a Light Source.

    Yes, I was looking at your Post #2 in the above thread when I wrote the Question... I just Purchased a REFURB-IPC-HFW5241E-Z12E From Andy and have a IPC-T3241-ZAS that I purchased from him awhile back. I figure between the 2 Cams I can get all the focal points I need to make well informed purchases.
