Trying to get off Port Forwarding Dependency

    5) Do I need to change any settings inside the BI5 app itself. Like under Blue Iris Settings, Web Server tab? (Screen shot attached) Yes, you will most likely want to turn off the auto refresh WAN IP and manually set it to the LAN side static IP (192.168.x.x.) in the URL For #5.. please see...

Trying to get off Port Forwarding Dependency

    4) I am using Verizons 5G Home internet (White Square box) in passthru mode. Because they change their WAN IP frequently I setup a DDNS- DynDNS Pro account (Screenshot attached) Good. You will want to put the DDNS address as your server in the OpenVPN client. I don't see this option. I only...

Trying to get off Port Forwarding Dependency

On the BI server machine, when I go to ping.eu, it shows: Your IP is 97.149.xxx.xxx (it whos the real numbers, I just masked them so I don't give it out here) If I turn off the OpenVPN button inside the router then run the test again, it shows the same IP address.

Trying to get off Port Forwarding Dependency

Yes, I setup DynDNS and used mjXXXXX.dyndns.xxx. I configured that on my router under the DDNS sections and it accepted it. On my original post above, I attached a screenshot of the Blue Iris Android App where I entered the mjXXXXX.dyndns.xxx:81 under the WAN section. Using the forwarded port...

Trying to get off Port Forwarding Dependency

Up until this week, I really never studied the Connections tab in BI Status. this week got Connections from: Shadowserver.org as well as 185.242.226.40 security.criminalip.com. Well, last night I saw 2 IP addresses, looked them up and they were both in China. IP WHOIS Lookup - Lookup IP WHOIS...

Who is ShadowServer.org and why are they on my list?

So this is confusing. I have a Reolink Video Doorbell, purchased last year. In the Reolink camera software on the PC, its configured for a static IP address 192.168.50.151. In the Android software, same thing, shows IP address 151. In the Blue Iris camera software, it shows and configures...

2023 best Blue Iris compatible Door bell (non-POE)

So the RCA doorbell uses the existing door chime. Do you have to use the white door chime that comes with the Reolink? Looks like there is a $25 off coupon right now on the doorbell on Amazon.

Blue Iris and Verizons 5G home internet- Static WAN IP

So in order to get the DDNS to show the new WAN IP, I have to manually go into ipcamtalk DDNS, hit Update, Use current IP address, then it shows the new IP Address. I thought this was supposed to happen automatically? I did not sign up for any of the paid plans. Just the free one.

Blue Iris and Verizons 5G home internet- Static WAN IP

So Im not sure what I did wrong here. I had everything setup. It was working until Verizon assined a new WANIP address. Screenshots attached shows what I put in. I put the DDNS name (michaelJamesLVK.ipctddns.com) in the Blue Iris Android Google app and I could see the cameras and I could see...

    SD49425XB-HNR Firmware?

I think I figured it out. You have to change the password under SEARCH SETTING in the ConfigTool (upper right). Password has to match what you set the camera New Password to when you initialized the camera the first time.

    SD49425XB-HNR Firmware?

So I went into my laptop and turned my WIFI off. I went into only my Ethernet adapter and chaged the setting to 192.168.1.10.. (Not sure what the DNS server settign were supposed to be, so I used 8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 I was thinking the ethernet needs to be on the 192.168.1 not the 192.168.50...

    SD49425XB-HNR Firmware?

UGH, so I went to my other Dahua Camera. I did a factory reset. Inside the ConfigTool and Initialized the camera using the existing 192.168.1.108 IP address. (It sets it to "1" not "50". So I then went into Edit and tried to change to: Static IP Address 192.168.50.110 (I didnt see this...

    SD49425XB-HNR Firmware?

So here is where I am at. I have not done a factory reset or gotten a different power supply. I want to let you know what has happened and maybe we can pin this down. So after about 4-5 days, the PTZ would stop tracking and freeze on 1 location (which isnt usually the Preset 1). It would...

Blue Iris and Verizons 5G home internet- Static WAN IP

So here are the settings I used. (See attached) is this correct? For SERVER: There was also an option for the server to be www.DYNDNS.ORG (Static). I used www.DYNDNS.ORG (Custom) For HOST name: I used what ipcamtalk DDNS gave me. For User name/Email: I used the email I have on the ipcamtalk...

Blue Iris and Verizons 5G home internet- Static WAN IP

OK, some Im confused. 1) When I went to Ipcamtalk offers a free dynamic dns service ... It never asks for a password. It gives an API key. 2) On the Asus end: a) You have to pick a server from the pull down menu. The manual says you have other options but from the screenshot below, you only...

Blue Iris and Verizons 5G home internet- Static WAN IP

So I have to admit, I've never setup DDNS or IPv6 before. Is one simpler than the other? I'm including screen shots from my Asus router. Also, after this is setup, do I need to make changes inside the Blue Iris software on the server?
