    Because it was the camera that shared the same platform as Hikvision (G6) with the latest firmware available for download. There were other G6 cameras with 8MP instead of 6MP, but the firmware was older (Firmware_V5.8.4_241213), so I went with the latest one. It doesn't seem to have been a good...

    Annke C1200 datasheet has 12MP (4096*3072) but hikvision camera "alternative" (5.8.5_250714 (hikvision) for DS-2CD1363G2) has 6MP and the firmware max resolution is 3840x2160... so C1200 has a real 12MP sensor? because I don't see many differences in image quality between the Hikvision firmware...

    Thanks for your answer. Is there any other option that doesn't involve disassembling the camera? It's installed in a difficult-to-reach location. I have read about modify hikvision firmware for change "version number" but i think this only works with old firmwares in old cameras. Thanks!
