    Do I need a IR Illuminator?

    I third the suggestion on an additional IR illuminator. It helped me considerably on my mini PTZ cam. In the left photo it shows the onboard IR with striping and IR glare off the dome. The right photo is the onboard IR turned off and my external IR illuminator turned on.

    Selecting AI Codec definitely curbed the pulsing but I'd get momentary blurring when panning. Didn't like that. My WB is set to outdoor and lowering saturation did not help. Besides.......I like my higher saturation!! :cool:
