Lol of course it's good right now no matter how many clips I try to watch! I'll try to get one tomorrow though lol

    Blue Iris UI3

FWIW, even after turning off hardware acceleration in Chrome and relaunching the browser, it's still occurring for me (remotely via VPN) and my mom (who is local on the LAN). Happens with both the HTML5 player and javascript. 1440p. I'm not sure what other info would be helpful. Thanks!

    Blue Iris UI3

Hi, just as a bug report, I'm still getting occasional green screens when viewing alerts in UI3 version 223, Blue Iris version: 5.6.0.11.

IP Cam Talk Custom Community DeepStack Model

Nice, thank you for the reply! As a quick suggestion, the one animal I was hoping for that's missing from the animal models, would be a moose. Any plans on adding it? (Although I suspect there's a good chance it would be flagged as a Horse at a minimum lol.)

IP Cam Talk Custom Community DeepStack Model

I see on @MikeLud1's github there are two custom model projects DeepStack-Security-Camera-Models and CodeProject.AI-Custom-IPcam-Models. It appears like the CodeProject.AI-Custom-IPcam-Models has been updated more recently? I'm currently using DS not CP, are the CP pt models backwards compatible...

Wow! I don't even know how a (mountain) lion got into the neighborhood Good luck with your cameras!

Suggestions for a "trail cam" camera system?

Yeah, 3x 5442 (and a 5241). I'm only using BI to check for motion. I saw that Dahua wants to cut down on animal false alerts, so no ONVIF triggers are set up. Which is unfortunate because I hear the camera AI is very good. Lol thanks for the advice. For now I mounted the straps with just a...

Suggestions for a "trail cam" camera system?

I believe it lol. When we pulled the ethernet cable through we also pulled a string with it, once the cable was all the way through we used the string to pull the (stronger) pull-string back through the conduit to leave there for future use... Haha I've been taking this project one step at...

Suggestions for a "trail cam" camera system?

A month an half after posting this thread I've got (the first four) cameras installed! Here are some pictures of the process... I've got motion detection and Deepstack setup (and seemingly working). Within minutes of turning the cameras on, Blue Iris missed a groundhog under the...

    5.5.8 - June 13, 2022 - Code Project’s SenseAI Version 1 - See V2 here https://ipcamtalk.com/threads/codeproject-ai-version-2-0.68030/

As a completely new BI install, should I jump into the SenseAI beta testing? or go through the trouble of setting up Deepstack just to likely switch in the future?

    PoE Switch Suggestion List

I almost did buy that one but when I saw that Dahua had their own version, I figured I "trust" (maybe) their version to be more compatible with their cameras lol... The fact that the PFT1300 isn't waterproof is unfortunate, but we'll make it work in a junction box. Actually I just received...

    PoE Switch Suggestion List

Lol not exactly. One camera, possibly also powering 2 IR Illuminators. The other two cameras were on their own dedicated cat6 cables (without the need for extenders). On the plus side, if I need a PFT1200 60W injector all of a sudden those IR Illuminators might have sufficient power I'm...

    Grounding remote cameras?

Yeah, I think I'll talk add a voltage regulator before the UPS as well. I know it won't really help surged from the cat6 into the house but they do lose power pretty regularly too.

    PoE Switch Suggestion List

haha ok, I could add a waterproof junction box below the PFA1300, thank you That is unfortunate if it does require the PFT1200, I was hoping that was for the ePoE distances...but we'll see, if I need one I'll get it. I also thought these cameras wouldn't hit 100 Mpbs by themselves.

    Grounding remote cameras?

Thanks for the help, guys. And just to clarify, the total distance of the longest camera is 475'. Google Maps kind of confuses matters noting the 100-ft increment hash marks, that make it look like 300'+400' individual runs instead of 100'+ runs they are in reality. No, nothing like that.. For...

    Grounding remote cameras?

Lol you talk about lightning and the rest of this stuff and it's terrifying. Lol my #1 priority is to not burn my parents house down. #2 is try not blow up the computer I just built for this project. And #3 To a lesser extent the cameras and switches, etc. But in the end the cameras and even the...

    Grounding remote cameras?

Lol so after @Teken literally put the fear of god in me last night regarding lightning strikes, I'm just wondering best practices I can do at this point. For reference I reattached the diagram of my underground run(s). I have bought unshielded cat6 and PVC conduit but have not installed either...

    PoE Switch Suggestion List

Spending money isn't really an issue lol...I just need to be pointed in the right direction. I got two of these PFT1300 extenders directly from Andy. They're not outdoor rated but are designed to be installed inside (the waterproof) PFA130-E mount. I finally stumbled on this Netgear switch...

    PoE Switch Suggestion List

Back on the subject, I am not really not finding many/any consumer grade PoE+s that meet @Teken 's advice of total watts/ports >= 30W. The only one on the suggestion list I'm seeing is this one: IPCP-8P2G-AT - 8 Port POE Plus Switch W/ 2 Gigabit Uplinks which would be exactly what I'm looking...

    PoE Switch Suggestion List

Sorry, I know this is not really the correct thread for this discussion but thanks for the help. The total distance of my farthest camera is only approximately 475' (Camera 1 switched locations a little bit from my original diagram.) Whoops a little typo in that quick diagram...technically...

    PoE Switch Suggestion List

2 questions, 1. I wasn't clear on running low voltage like that along side unshielded cat6 in the same conduit run? Any interference issues? I saw you mention that in another post to someone else and considered it 2. The one run is long enough where I'll need the PFT1300 extenders anyway (at a...

    PoE Switch Suggestion List

I ordered a NETGEAR 8-Port Gigabit Ethernet Unmanaged PoE+ Switch (GS308PP) before finding this thread. Now I'm concerned it wont deliver enough power for my needs. Eventually I may want to run a IPC-B5442E-Z4E and two IR illuminator's using PFT1300 splitter/extenders on a single CAT6. I can't...

Obviously GPU support is brand new, but I see it specifically states support for Nvidia GPUs. Are there plans on supporting integrated Intel GPUs? Should I add an Nvidia card to my new BI PC? FWIW, I did not cheap on my CPU: PassMark - Intel Core i5-12600K - Price performance comparison

Suggestions for a "trail cam" camera system?

I think for now I'm going to order the following as starter cameras: (2) IPC-T5442T-ZE, (1) IPC-B5442E-Z4E and (1) HFW5241E-Z12E. Get a good feel for what they look like and I can always relocate them later if I find they'll be better suited elsewhere. Couple final questions... 1. I see...

Dual NIC setup on your Blue Iris Machine

Any reason to use a vpn router over just installing a vpn server on the BI PC? Fwiw, having set up both OpenVPN and Wireguard vpn servers, Wireguard is so much less complicated and just works. I had Wireguard setup in like 5 minutes, OpenVPN took me like 3 days of struggling with iptables lol...

Suggestions for a "trail cam" camera system?

Damn lol, of course that makes sense....does increase the work though a bit haha How many of the surge suppressors would I need? 1 for every camera I assume? because 1 in between the switch and the PC would leave all the cameras and the switch vulnerable?

Dual NIC setup on your Blue Iris Machine

That makes sense. So how are the cameras viewable via BI? Are they only viewable on the BI PC? There's no secure way of viewing them from any device on the LAN?

Suggestions for a "trail cam" camera system?

Thank you, that's all stuff I was concerned about lol. And you went with conduit even with the direct burial cat6, huh? The run would be next a pond where the ground gets very wet. I bought gel-filled DB cat6 from TrueCable, hoping that would be sufficient, but maybe I should run it in conduit...
