What do you pay per kWh? If you have more than 100w there I'd be surprised. Those cams use about 6w when they aren’t running IR. The DVR might use 50w.- biggen

So are you wanting the transfer switch to wait longer before going to gen power? In the dealer menu you can configure that settings. Mine came with a 30 second delay which I thought was too long so I adjusted it to 5 seconds. We don't experience any brownouts here so a 5 second delay is fine... -

I do similar but use Peplink routers that can have cellular sims inserted. So when my Xfinity goes down, it switches over to my TMobile $15/month hotspot plan I keep active just for this purpose. It’s nice never loosing internet! -

I looked into having a manual transfer switch installed on the outside of the house with a 50A inlet for portable generator use, but I ended up nixing the idea as I don't know if my wife would be able to set all that up if I wasn't around when power went out. Yeah right on the side of the house between the NG meter and the power meter. There is a 15 foot space that will be perfect for it to sit in. I had my RPi out there today making sure I had wifi signal and I do easily from there.
