Glare from LED Dusk to Dawn lightbulb

I used a black window vinyl on my outside light on one side facing the camera. It was either designed for headlights or windows, I can't remember which now. It does really block the light though. I can't recommend it per se as I don't know about the heat resistance. It's not a tint but a proper...

Glare from LED Dusk to Dawn lightbulb

You could put a window film over the camera side of the lamp glass on the outside to reduce the amount of light emitting to that side. Just make sure it's heat resistant and can take the temperatures. I wouldn't use anything reflective as you could cause excessive heat within the lamp if you...

Why would eset place these blue iris files in quarantine?

You'll probably only be able to remove ESET using the Unistaller as most AV programs prevent removal by other methods to prevent direct virus attack on their systems. If the uninstaller isn't working, then go to their website and see if there's a clean installer tool available from their support...

Why would eset place these blue iris files in quarantine?

Malwarebytes chameleon is the tool if Malwarebytes itself is blocked. It's a free download and runs before Windows Starts to intercept bad processes then runs malwarebytes in windows when all bad processes are stopped. It's very effective at removing virus that interefere with AV. Those are...

Blueiris setup with port forwarding issues- need some help

So it's connected to your router via Wifi then your router is port forwarding for remote access? I suggest you disable port forwarding immediately in the router or you may find you have no cameras or pc for Mike to configure. When you port forward, your router announces to the whole internet...

Webview asks for flash, upgrade option? [ See image]

Flash was discontinued by Adobe several years ago. It still seems to work on some websites, but there's no support and no updates. If it's trying to update from direct Adobe's flash updater, that's why it can't find any compatible updates - non exist.

    Best Of [emoji[emoji23[emoji645][emoji2388]]3[emoji645][emoji238[emoji645]]] Budget Cams.

You're chasing rainbows if the aim is night performance from a cheap cam. The issue is early always the same - marketing can produce a great picture by setting high gain, high noise control and a long shutter and using a model who stands still. However, add even a modicum of movement and you...

How insecure is port forwarding for Blue Iris if you have an incredibly strong password?

They don't attack passwords usually. They use a flaw in the system to get around the password system by either getting the system to tell them the password, or circumventing it entirely and giving themselves root and control over the whoe system at the highest level. Once you port forward you...

    Upgrade goes to error?

I had trouble getting CPAI to run after an upgrade, several times. Not slow playback that I remember, but other issues. In every case, only a brand new clean installation of Windows followed by a Clean BI and the stable version of CPAI that was working previously fixed it. It might not be the...

    Cleaning the camera lens

One of the best cleaners for eye glasses I found was simple soap and water! All those expensive alcohol wipes and a soapy cloth followed by a rinse and wipe with a very soft tissue works wonders (note use a soft tissue as paper can scratch lenses, even tissues if not really soft). It works so...

IVS not catching super obvious activity

The trip wires are in the wrong direction. If you look at the arrows on them, they're looking for side to side movement and vertical movement, when what you have is horzontal back to back movement. What you need is trip wires extending out from the gate to trigger from back to front movement.

    Power demand night IR

Have you seen energy prices in the UK? Including VAT it's: Approx $27 a month just to receive energy $0.71 a KwH for Electricty $0.34 per Unit for Gas (not the type you put in cars but cook and heat with) Average wage in the UK is $37,000 although many earn a lot less than that. eg...

    Power demand night IR

Yep I'm going to try that. I think my pc is in normal or performance mode and it consumes around 55-60w in idle with the BI console open despite no graphics card. I think a power profile tinker is in order.

    Worlds First Review - Dahua - IPC-Color4K-X / DH-IPC-HFW5849T1-ASE-LED - Full Color 4K Camera

I have to agree. I loved the idea of a low light 8mp camera but it's been a big disappointment so far. Right from the go they seem under powered on the processing side with many features struggling. There's reliability issues as they don't like power cuts and can become uncontactable. There's a...

MFW5241T2-E3-ASE: new triple sight very long range perimeter protection camera

If it's only 2mp then that explains a lot. However, I don't hold out much hope for face retreival beyond the ideal distance because once you start to zoom you're going to lose the pixel count quickly. 2mp are fine for optical zoom cameras such as PTZ's as the world zooms in not the recorded...

Yes that's the convenience of all in one. I'm all for it. I'm just not convinced that using 1/2.8 sensors is going to cut it. As above, great idea, maybe a rethink needed of how it's achieved before we have a camera that really appeals on picture quality. In the mean time, if it works for you...

separate exposure in half the 4kt180 cam?

No. You probably need to compromise the exposure. In the day, Backlight Compensation can help if you draw the compensation area carefully. You probably need to play around with drawing different sized areas and drawing in differing places until you find one that works. Other alternatives are HDR...

New Dahua Tech / Cams coming soon - Wiz Colour?

Quick Question, can you have speaker activate but not the red / blue lights?
