    5.4.7 - May 25, 2021 - Support for DeepStack custom model files

An Amcrest IP8M-2496EB (Duaha) that I installed this 25mm lens on. Definitely not made for LPR but working ok so far. It's great when combined with BI and DS.

Yep, I’m using Plate Recognizer and it returns the characters using the &PLATE macro for alert text. There is plenty of fine-tuning still to do, but working so far.

    5.4.7 - May 25, 2021 - Support for DeepStack custom model files

You're more than welcome to try it. :) I attached my license plate model here (change the file extension from .txt back to .pt), but it's only trained on about 100 license plate images from my LPR cam in Minneapolis, so probably not very accurate, but it's working well for me. The images mostly...

    5.4.7 - May 25, 2021 - Support for DeepStack custom model files

Check out the LPR forum for lots of info about that. I just used a Duaha bullet and replaced the 2.8mm lens with a 25mm lens I ordered from China. So far it's working well. I'm excited to combine it with Deepstack for better accuracy.

    5.4.7 - May 25, 2021 - Support for DeepStack custom model files

I just trained my first license plate model this morning using about 100 images from my LPR camera. I added it to BI and so far this afternoon it has correctly identified every car license plate that's driven by. Thanks to @cjowers for his post that inspired me to try it. My goal was to make...

Deepstack + Push Notification and Alert Macros

I agree, I'd love more granular macro variables for AI-provided data that we can use in alert actions. In addition to the existing &MEMO, new options like these would be nice: &AI_SUMMARY = Car (91%), Person (67%), Dog (92%) &AI_OJBECTS = Car, Person, Dog &AI_OBJ_01 = Car &AI_OBJ_01_CONF = 91...

Nice install! Thanks for sharing the photos. What kind of computers are you using on the pole and how do you keep them cool in the warmer months?

Possible to replay the sub stream ?

You can lower the resolution or bitrate that the mobile app plays in settings so it uses less bandwidth. If the default profiles don’t work for you, you can modify them in the desktop app settings.

Blue Iris vs Hikvision NVR - Date Time

Most cameras allow you to specify a manual NTP server to set the time. I use the free software “net time” running on my BI PC for this and point my cameras to the PC as the NTP server.

Snapshot from iOS app... where is it stored

When you use the "video camera" button, it saves directly to your iOS photo library/camera roll, as long as the app has sufficient permissions. When you use the "still camera" button, it takes a snapshot but then you can use the share sheet button (top right) and select "Save Image" to save it...

    Push notification delay

I’ve noticed GIFs slow down iOS notifications significantly for me. Usually only 10-15 seconds longer than a still or no image, but sometimes much longer. They’re so useful that it’s worth the trade off for most my cameras. But it sounds like that’s maybe not the issue here.

Getting alerts while sleeping... looking for ideas

Thanks, @105437 I'm hoping to specify criteria like: only send as a critical alert when AI detects a human in the yard (>70% confidence) between midnight at 5 am, otherwise send as a standard alert. Not sure if that's currently possible?

Getting alerts while sleeping... looking for ideas

It's a great addition! I hope in the future there will be more control to specify when to send a critical alert vs a normal alert.

Foscam R2 camera suffers pixelation when HA (HW decode) is turned on.

I had the same problem with my R2 and had to leave HA off as well. I’d be curious if you find a solution.

Blue Iris and Wyze V2 RTSP issue - potential breakthrough

I’m using two Wyze V2 cams with the RTSP firmware into Blue Iris. They’re connected through my three Google WiFi mesh nodes (all hardwired) and I don’t have any problems. One of the cams will occasionally disconnect for a min or so maybe once per week, but that’s no worse than my Hikvision cams...

Getting alerts while sleeping... looking for ideas

Awesome, looking forward to it! Glad you got a response from Ken about it because I never did on any of my "Critical Alerts" email requests. I assume it'll be added as new option on the BI Alerts > Configure Push Notification page? I'm curious if it'll simply be a checkbox to send as a Critical...

Further down on that webpage there's a "Your E-mail Aliases" section where you can click, "Create an E-mail Alias." That next page should look like my screenshot. To be clear, I've been testing with their email service (where BI sends the alert to Pushover as an email, then Pushover sends the...

Getting alerts while sleeping... looking for ideas

Did the Pushover app prompt you to allow "Critical Alerts" permission? Here's a screenshot of my settings from the Pushover website. I think the Priority setting is important. For what it's worth, I did recently email BI support requesting Critical Alerts again. So the more people who request...

Not sure if you're interested in 3rd party solutions, but I've been using Pushover to test this. Their iOS app supports Critical Alerts and they generate a unique email address for you to which you can send your BI alerts. I think I paid a one-time $5 for the iOS app and the rest is free.

The new updated android app has been pushed to the play store

For comparison, when the new version of the iOS app was released last year it too had a number of bugs, but the dev has released quite a few (and frequent) updates to the iOS app addressing those issues. I'd expect the same for this Android version in the coming weeks and months. I sent a lot of...

    Blue Iris UI3

@bp2008 Love the new auto-maximize feature, thank you for building it! What determines how long a cam is maximized? Does it remain maximized while the cam is in a triggered state (break time), or is it a separate timer? How does UI3 handle the "auto-maximize" when multiple cameras are...
