    I am only familiar with the Open VPN application on Android. Once you have generated the certificate files and copied them to the phone, you have to run the application and import the profile into the application.

    I would give a thumbs up for the AC68U. It has been around for a while and it is stable. There is a really active ASUS forum over on SmallNetBuilder Forums. They have sections for factory firmware as well as third party tuned firmware (RMerlin).

    Mac, I have had my 5231 cameras for a couple of years or more. When they were new, the PAL/NTSC option was determined by a suffix in the firmware number. With a N for NTSC and P for PAL. The firmware I presently have installed offers the drop down option in the settings.

    Updated the firmware on three model IPC-HDW5231R-Z cameras from version 2.622.0000000.31R build 2018-08-13 to version 2.800.0000015.0.R build 2020-04-30 with no issues. I did do both a restart and reset before and after the update prior to setting the configuration.

    When I click on the 1X indicator, it opens up a vertical slider. The slider can be moved from the bottom for slow motion (1/8X) up to the top for fast speed (8X).
