Yes I know you can see that in the 4kt/x. But it's the sensor rather than the lens that's the issue. With a more sensitive sensor you could go to a narrower aperture lens and still get good dof. eg pairing a 1/1.2 with say a 1.6 aperture instead of 1.2 but as you point out, with the current... -

Could always run AI on BI for channel 2 as I presume it will show up in BI as 2 cameras. if it's as good as it sounds, might even be worth living with a few close in false alerts if the rest of the camera performs well. -

Tree sap on sensor
I find on cars regular soap and water works. If you need something stronger I'd suggest investigating Isoproyl Alcohol as it's evaporates away. You can dilute it with water for more sensitive surfaces. Can't remember off the top what surfaces don't like it, but I'd guess some lesser paints and... -

Also don't use Edge. IE compatible mode is not IE. Use the process to link to IE in Windows. It's still there but hidden, and don't click on the link to upgrade it to Edge or you'll have to start and create it again. The process is quite simple and there are multiple methods shown on videos on... -

I went on vacation for 3 weeks
I've just had a 4kt white out progressively over several days. No lightening and no apparent cause. Smudges ruining clarity
If it's polycarbonate there are plastic polishes out there that can be used to remove oxidation. The only factor to bear in mind is they are abrasive and will remove any kind of coating should one be present. Many are sold for polishing plastic car headlight lenses, mobile phone screens etc. -
