    PFA150 Pole Mount Bracket question

It's been a while since I mounted my PTZ cameras (just over 5 years) and I noticed a lot of rust on the bottom of the pole mount bracket. Is the PFA150 Pole Mount Bracket made from regular steel or is it aluminum like the camera housings?

Could it be hydraulic fluid fill cap or ride regulator valve for the strut? Just spit balling since that is what you were working on

Trying to understand the image. The middle is B&W, yet there's color present in the image. What gives? Hybrid of some sort?

    EmpireTech 10th Anniversary (Summer+Prime Day)Sales

Right there with you. Always need a camera when there's no sale, but then the sale, and I already have what I need. Sometimes I dream up new cam locations, just to take advantage of the sale, always under the radar of the WAF unit of course. She's not always happy when I acquire something new...

Criminal spy camera inside Logitech mouse

Do you think there is a firmware update for the camera in my Logitech mouse? The auto-tracking is a bit jerky. Anyone know where I can get a firmware update?

Looking for advice on my install locations.

I'm also with the consensus. Was going to use the X3, but after seeing the less than stellar night captures from all the testing here, I scrapped the idea. In my opinion, from experience with the 5231, 2mp cameras are great if you have good light. Otherwise, you need to supplement additional...

    Network security questions

I know I'm going down a rabbit hole here, but the more I research things, the more questions I have. I did a netstat -a -n search and noticed a crap load of established connections which I have no idea what they are. Lots of addresses with port 443 (http?) and about a dozen port 80 addresses as...

    Network security questions

I tried but it doesn't connect. I'm sure it has to do with the incorrect port needed to access the NVR locally. I don't know the proper port for local access

Yes, direct ethernet cable from laptop to NVR LAN port. And I wouldn't underestimate this guy. He's had years of hacking experience with his next-door neighbor and God knows who else. The fact is, he's been able to make changes to my cameras and even take 1 or 2 of them offline overnight...

    Network security questions

Just in case I'm still having issues with intrusions after adding the router (I don't know this guy's level of skill on hacking), can I access the NVR via direct connection between computer and NVR? I know I can access the device GUIs in this manner via the NVR GUI, but I'm curious if it's...

Have to ask, what cameras were featured in the clip? I imagine the sound on the PTZ was an external mic or dubbed from another camera?

There's no point to doing so, it would be a wasted effort. Plus, his "creation" is still standing. I have a camera there in its original location for overview, but it needs to be aligned since I replaced it with a T54IR-AS-S3 2.8mm. It probably needs a junction box and moved further towards...

Like I said in the first sentence, I removed the camera as it wasn't what I was looking for FOV. If his creation was working, my LPR west camera probably would have picked it up since it looks in that general direction. With all those IR LEDs, even at 1000/sec, I would have seen something

    Network security questions

Out of curiosity, I checked to see what wi-fi networks are available near my little corner. Most of them look unassuming and are showing as low power broadcast, but the one that has me concerned is the "Hidden Network" due to its signal strength. The neighbor next to me (JAE entries) barely puts...

So, then it's best to follow the included instructions and connect to the modem for setup? I just can't shake the feeling that somehow the nut across the way is actively keeping track of all changes being made to the network in real time. Maybe I'm paranoid, but so far, he's been able to get in...

Moving on. I received the ASUS this morning. I would like to setup the router ahead of actually installing it so that it isn't vulnerable during the process. Network security questions

I removed the camera from the cul-de-sac to see what the outcome would be (I was going to remove it anyway since this turret doesn't zoom in enough). He finally left his domicile after a week of being home 24/7. Any event, it gave me the chance to use the PTZ (albeit from the NVR interface) to...
