    Pandemic threat? Anyone else concerned?

But lets go to a meeting 12 years ago. where this chapter really began: This is where the mass murderers justified their bioterrorism in a somewhat controlled public view.

    Pandemic threat? Anyone else concerned?

You just don't understand how all of it works. Even though I know who and everything else, it doesn't matter to them because the others have to find out for themselves. If they are totally blocked, then I will initiate other things. Because they took my job away from me and gave it to Fauci, and...

WiFi jammers reportedly being used by South American criminal gangs in their burglaries

remember those cell boosters? They have a tendency to jam alarm panels. That is why you supposed to set up two different types of communications on an alarm panel.

I wouldn't do any 'virtual tunneling' I'm just wondering if leasing an IP address, then splitting the WAN so your BI machine is on a static while your router and existing network stays DHCP WAN with its own IP would be more cost effective than paying no-ip for their services. Plus that would...

    https:// or http://

Unfortunately its a special type for VPN only and its still a type of self signed system, but at least you do have control over the revocations, but they already got into the system by then. The difference is web browsers would have the CA address because its a known 'public trust server' so...

New to CCTV - Can you give me an honest opinion on my plan please ?

NVR with a UPs would be able to serve this. But with a computer trying to beat that setup as far as up time, I would recommend an inexpensive laptop with a Raid enclosure + UPS. I run both a NVR and Blue iris as a redundant system on two 1500W UPS (one each) and the NVR runs 12 hrs with the UPS...

Installing larger than recommended HDD in computers?

I buy drives from reputable sources like newegg because amazon is not a computer retail business and more of an internet 'flea market'

Installing larger than recommended HDD in computers?

No real issues, but I wouldn't use a 5400 rpm hard drive as the system drive and use the fastest type possible (M.2). The hardware specs of maximum capacity was published way before the drives came out and there is ways to make bigger drives work.

    DHCP or static?

devices like printers, NAS, cameras I will static but I keep my cameras off my internet network. I run a cheap wieless router for my doorbell cam in access point mode connected to a camera input on the NVR. That away I can run wireless into the NVR without the cameras being on the regular home...

Building separate networks for home use

Splitting WAN isn't a big deal as its done often in certain business data solutions. The question you will have to ask the ISP is if you can run a dhcp IP with a purchased IP because some of those systems use separate DNS servers (common for PPoe IP systems). The signal path is simple. All you...

Setting up VPN/VLAN and Dual NIC

shouldn't have to. Wan/Lan ports on those routers is a configurable port where its either a LAN port behind the firewall or a WAN port that is an outside connection with its own firewall as a redundant WAN connection .

`you install the "openVPN Connect" app then go to the router with your phone (by wifi) and add your VPN user and password, then click Export OpenVPN file and the phone will prompt you if you want to open it or not, then click "Open in OpenVPN" , agree to the service terms, click "add" then...

Man With Mask / RFID Cloning?

Well when me and my committee I was with ran pandemic response for the US we tried on two occasions to ban that mask entirely in the US because we tested and found out it can never be used as any form of biological protection. The last time OSHA deemed it not a protection device and revised...

High traffic usage by NVR 4432 Dahua when Video Detection is enabled.

Because the computer is the media server for the system, instead of it being a piece of software logging into a NVR/media server to view it. If you are using the computer to record, then you should be running two ethernet interfaces, one for the cam network and the other for the...

Dahua NVR 5216, how to keep it logged out of admin?

in this screen click "Monitor Channels When Logged out" and select the cameras to view when everyone is logged out. By Default, all cameras are selected. On installs like these, I set the outside, inside common areas on Bar cameras because others don't need to see the cash register and back...

    https:// or http://

I wouldn't advise http on things the user enters information. Nor expose it and would insert a redirect command in .htaccess so if someone went there by accident, they would be redirected to the https connection.

    https:// or http://

Also, port 8080 should (ideally) only be exposed on the network (unless you are already running something on port 80 on the outside connection. Then I would have my name server set up as www.mywebsite.com on my port 80 server and security_cams.mywebsite.com point to 8080. For example)

Just briefly looking at this, the certificate is invalid for public connections since "." is local host so its only going to be local or .local traffic allowed with the cert. So I would try unplugging the computer's network connection, generate the Stunnel cert with the dyn dns web address...

    Long outdoors netwok cable run

I also ran the same 22Ga STP CMX cable for data to the remote switch. Looking at my note from school 20 years ago: The 100 meter limitation is newer. Because it used to be (for data and POE) 1500 and 500 on 20 ga , 1200 and 350 on 22 ga,, 1100 and 300 on 23 ga and 1000 and 250 for 24 Ga. I'm...

    Long outdoors netwok cable run

The port does that when you plug it in and it first test is to see if pins 4&5 are shorted, then it checks if 3&6 are shorted as well as pins 7&8 to see if its shorted so it would apply power appropriately. I could probably could dig up the POE controller ic datasheet to show you how that...

    Long outdoors netwok cable run

The wire I used was Beldon 9892 by my install records. Which was a install at a shopping mall. I have used 22ga cat5e CMX wire before as remote power wire for switches The 450ft run was the longest run I did that with. Which I used half the wires for + and the other half as - (which was the...

    Long outdoors netwok cable run

One thing I do notice over the last 5 years is fake cat5/6 cable that is aluminum alloy instead of pure copper and they don't make good long runs. However I probably couldn't do it with UTP wire.

    Long outdoors netwok cable run

I decided to do that since the POE power supply was a two prong power with a Y capacitor connected from DC ground and AC Neutral and I wanted a higher impedance than that so lightning wouldn't travel into the circuit as it will seek the path of least resistance.

    Long outdoors netwok cable run

The cameras I took apart are POE B mode even though they connected at 100Mbps. Eventually I imagine all ip cameras will be 1Gb connections as 100Mbps has aged into obsolescence. But regardless if the orange pair or the brown pair is used its still grounded to a power supply.

Which NVR to replace LaView LV-N9916C6E 16 cams?

Hikvision NVRs I think are better than most, but as far as viewing pre recorded footage, you have to do it at the NVR or logging into the NVR's webpage or else it will be slow, clunky, and difficult to search video. There is about a two second delay from cellular networks to/from the rest of the...
