    Lock zoom of Dahua IPC

You could probably make a user account with no permission to zoom on the camera and use that for device credentials.

How to reset Dahua Nvr4216-16p-4ks2 with only ConfigTools Application

If you don’t know the password for the nvr and you don’t have access to the email/if one was even used when initialized, then you’d need an engineer to tell you what 2 points to short on main board because unlike cameras, there is no reset button.

    Drone swarms in the northeast?

I’d guess either they’re looking for a rogue nuke or rolling out project bluebeam

That one doesn’t have auto tracking.

New PTZ cam from Andy question.

I wouldn’t worry about it then. I’ve got a few still operational in the field a decade later that tour 5-8 presets on the smallest intervals.

New PTZ cam from Andy question.

Is it inverted? I mentioned in another thread I’ll bet that wears the servos out faster. You can feel how much easier it moves right side up vs inverted.

    Can’t Access Camera

You can try plugging a laptop into one of the poe ports on nvr

    Power demand night IR

Was wondering that as well. I’m all for energy conservation but worrying about camera IRs would be #587 on my list of priorities! Turn your hot water heater down 1%, that’ll save more than your whole cctv system uses

How to install when there is no attic?

I’d just go through crawl space and use gutters or corner seams of siding to hide wires.

I can never get a water tight connection!

I’ve always just used the ones that come with the cams and then put silicone around it.

HDMI & USB over Cat6. Wireless mouse ?

For real cheap I’ve got a few of these out there where the usb dongle is 20’ away and above drop grid...

HDMI & USB over Cat6. Wireless mouse ?

No drivers needed. Almost every install I do has a wireless mouse. Some are better for distance/punching through grid ceiling/walls.

Is there a better way to set this up? or am i just OCD...

OCD! If I were worried about those temps I’d either go cheap and just have a backup switch on hand or get an industrial switch meant for extremes. https://us.dahuasecurity.com/product/dh-is4210-8gt-120/

    Recommendation Needed: 30x Optical Zoom

While your point may be true your example is misleading; nothing about that is the same area. Not from trees/stumps to fence posts to elevation of truck above/behind hill line.

    Camera for mainly watching weather

I was thinking if your wire came out of soffit cover the exit point with the short end and have the long go around and up over roof/gutter. Chimney is either going to block 90* of sky or melt the cam if it’s above! I’d thought of doing this for time lapse of lightning storms, chemtrails, meteor...

    Camera for mainly watching weather

Maybe a parapet mount reversed? Then you could attach underneath soffit.

I’ve noticed since Oct 1st ADI is calling their products luminys on the back end/billing but not when you search/order.

Yes, all of N America. Was supposed to happen months ago. A couple of their people came out to a customers site last spring and made a good impression but it’s been crickets since.

New Beautiful camera accessories from Dahua :)

The switch to luminys for us in the US is making me look into Turing or going back to speco. See if it’s just me, I’ve tried multiple browsers/device OS’s and neither seems to be working. If you click on product selector/camera, then click on any option I get an error. Luminys site, everything...
