Op you may be expecting too much. As a dahua partner I got 5 years of little questions asked warranty on hardware. To date I’ve sold, serviced/warrantied $5.6 million in their products and have figured out how to do/fix things their engineers couldn’t help with. I’ve never gotten so much as a...
Well I just got back in town from a 3 day 22 camera install and now that ADI can no longer supply dahua I pulled the trigger unfortunately. I don’t even know how to convey the level of disappointment. Not about picture quality so the hobbiest may not care but if you’re going to install all day...
Nice! Got a couple more hours before the rest and sear, we shall see.
I went in last minute grocery shopping yesterday and they had the sexiest looking prime rib I’ve ever seen; Japanese A5 wagyu, marbling looked just like this. At the low cost of a $100 a Lb!
I’ve thrown dozens of different kinds in over the years including lots of refurbished. Even giving my clients 3 years warranty I’ve only replaced 1 or 2 in 15 years.
Ha, I went to meet a new/potential client years ago out in bfe Georgia and the fucker was a half hour late, there was no cell service so I tapped into his NID and called him. He got pissed thinking I broke into his shop!
Yep, have the same US model at my house about as long. Back then if clients wanted LPRs they had to get the n52 if they wanted to fully utilize them. I’ve only replaced about 6 of them over the years, all but one were lightning, last one was for a fan that got real noisy. That one had multiple...
Curious about where you found that model? As BRF mentioned it’s EOL just like every other dahua N/A part. I’d like to buy a couple just for clients warranty. I wouldn’t recommend you buying it for the same reason; it craps out 8 months down the road you’re probably not going to get a...
Your nvr is capable, you’d have to run an extra pair with an additional psu. I’d also make separate additional ivs rules for night or whenever you’re not going to be there to trigger horn/light.
I’d just run the fiber if not just for bandwidth but also if lighting struck the shop. And if this is just their man cave and not a commercial business with employees and clients accessing the network I wouldn’t bother with further complicating the network.
I’d also consider the length of the...
Op might be referring to US dahua model numbers. It’s always been a pain trying to compare cams and nvrs with all the ones everyone here uses; Andy’s dahua numbers are completely different from US for the exact same hardware.
If you have a non ptz cam try it out there. Your ptz is probably needing to much power for that distance without having that extender in the middle. And I’m not sure about Hik but dahua has their Epoe that requires both epoe port on nvr/switch and, epoe camera. But I’m not sure they have a epoe ptz.
Well Hikvision has an ip one for about $140
DS-2CD2D25G1-D/NF
Sperry West has several from clocks to smoke detectors from $2-500 range.
Speco and Dahua have pinhole ip/poe ones, dahua is about $350.
