    Best Cameras for under $150

Maybe you missed I was a cable tech not a jack installer, big difference unless you know all about that also without being there. Quit being a know it all unless you have tested what I have and seen it with my own eyes. I will put a camera outside tomorrow night after it gets dark to show you...

    Best Cameras for under $150

Ok I retired a ATT Cable tech in the phone industry and was picked among 4 others to begin testing cables and lines when DSL first came out. Your right I know nothing. That Hikvision was the first camera I had never dealt with before so yes I was a dummy then, but my networking experience is way...

    Best Cameras for under $150

Well I don't lie first of all. I do not like to get caught in a lie, therefor you would be wrong. Why don't you wait till I show proof locally about the camera displaying at night just as good as daytime. Because you have never seen one does not mean there isn't one. Don't assume I was remoting...

    Best Cameras for under $150

I captured the images remotely and yes when you view remotely they surely are not as good as viewing on site. Thanks for knowing this. Maybe you will change your tune once I post local capture rather then comment on a item you have never tried. I have them, tried them and have tested cameras now...

    Best Cameras for under $150

Ok what ever, I guess when weather breaks I will post a video of it to show you falsely say these are junk. They do indeed look like mid afternoon at 3:00 am and nothing is doctored to make them look any different. With zero white light and zero infrared light it shows as daytime as daytime can...

    Best Cameras for under $150

Looking at the videos for the IPC-HDW2231RP-ZS the night image is crap compared to the one I posted. It looks like daytime even at 3am when it is dark. And the cameras can have white light, or without white light and no LEDS and still get a daytime full color view.

    Best Cameras for under $150

The white light is the same camera as the camera pictured but it has white light added and have to ask for mounting bracket on both cameras. The mounting bracket on the camera without white light is built on to the camera and the bracket for the white light is a separate bracket and bolt the...

    Best Cameras for under $150

The top picture has white LEDS on the camera, it is not from the camera pictured, the picture of the camera was for the bottom 2 pictures Yea there is zero LEDS and zero white light on this model. It gathers only night sky to produce the light in the image. That is the 2 bottom pictures with...

    Best Cameras for under $150

Unsure the model should be the CV-XIP in image below they are up at a couple places, believe guts from a Hikvision and run around $32.60each and can add $4 for POE and a couple bucks for bracket. Under $60 each though and do quite good. I get them direct from China shipping runs total up to...

    Best Cameras for under $150

I know I am showing both with and without white light. The storage picture at top is with white light because there is zero light. The middle and bottom pictures are with no LEDs and no white light, strictly starlight gathering light from the sky Middle pic is 11:20 pm at night and is dark back...

    Best Cameras for under $150

I have installed a few of the starlight cameras. One in a storage facility with zero light at all, you can not even see your hand in front of your face. That starlight camera has the white lights and if installed outside can turn off the white lights and use the sky as a gathering light source.

Dahua dome that displays good and color at night

Ok thanks, so 2mp is better at night then 4mp? But daytime I would think 4mp is better then 2mp. Would that be a accurate presumption?

Dahua dome that displays good and color at night

Show me your non blur camera image. You must have an outstanding camera. I been installing and tested well over 100 different cameras since 2003. I wasn't asking how bad mine is but where I can get comparable camera supported after purchase from Dahua

Dahua dome that displays good and color at night

I bought a 4mp Dahua dome last year. It works great but no support from Dahua because the serial number or device number they said it was not their camera. So, anyone ever buy a Dahua 4mp that displays like mine? The nearest street light is like 5 houses down the way it faces and 150' behind the...

Siding and Soffit install mounting base/block?

I never did it at one time either, I just do it to make a neat install and hide wired. It is fairly easy actually and 1 tool made for siding around $8.00 is worth it.

    Optimal Position

I have left the cable exposed in many cases. If it is BNC connections they can also be in the weather. If it is Ethernet connection they also can be out in the weather if the connector has the quick twist ends on it to weather proof the connection. As far as both on the pillar at the end of the...

Siding and Soffit install mounting base/block?

I have lifted siding and hid wire and connections behind siding. If you have to run the length of the house of siding I have selected one that has no obstacles and lifted just the ends and slid a 1/4" figerglass fish rod and usually fishes easy from 1 end to the other making wire runs easier...

    Optimal Position

I would add 2 to the bottom of the driveway gray pillar. 1 would be wide angle lens covering the apron and entrance to the drive and camera 2 facing the front of the house.

Camera Mounting on a Stucco House - Help

There should be wood behind the stucco. Usually it is a coating. I would first try using a 2" screw and see if it bites. I usually find a 2" screw works in most cases unless brick then use a anchor. If the screw does not bite and spins then you can always try running in a zinc drywall/wood...

    Dahua Mobile Camera video sample

Exactly JMCU an inverter run a house DVR or NVR and plug in a monitor should be plenty of voltage to run these systems. Im sure many of these would work fine. https://www.walmart.com/c/kp/12v-power-inverter

    Dahua Mobile Camera video sample

Could probably put a 12v to 110v inverter in the vehicle and power a whole system. DVR NVR what ever and all cameras. I had thoughts of doing that which would probably be better then a dash cam

    Front door IPCam mounting suggestions?

I also agree with cris cross view, but would put the 1 at the corner of the house by the white fence capturing the window and all down the house drive and street, the 2nd camera looks like it would go under the overhang by a brick wall that looks like is coming out some.
