What causes multiple clips for same time?

To sort this issue perform a full delete and rebuild of the DB, I've had my BI do the above a few times, only takes about 2 minutes to fully rebuild the DB (the repair options will not store the above weird storage issue)

Help setting up Blue Iris integration in Home Assistant

I found NodeRed much easier to use that HA for automations, I prefer something graphical with drag n drop vs YAML text files and reloading all the time.

Help setting up Blue Iris integration in Home Assistant

I have what I think is a very good Blue Iris and Home Assistant setup but I guess it depends on what you want, in my case BI handles everything to-do with the cameras, recording, AI and feeds alerts via MQTT to HA which then sends me Telegram notifications and performs a whole host of things...

MoveFile Error 2: in log for non-existent clips

I think my issue might be related to this what-causes-multiple-clips-for-same-time - I guess I'm having the issue where file/clip stub is created in the DB but no real bvr file and the move job is trying to move non-existent clips

MoveFile Error 2: in log for non-existent clips

As per the title, I’m getting many errors in my BI log files for MoveFile Error 2: and from what I can tell the error is for files that I don’t have (BI didn’t create them) below is a small sample from the log file and also a sample from my source and dest file system. I have all my cams set...

    Blue Iris UI3

I'm messing about with evey setting I can think of, not tried the Javascript one as yet, I seem to get a few seconds of good playback on start and then super choppy playback like a buffer is overwelmed see below - So far I've worked out that changeing bitrate has litte impact either way, a much...

    Blue Iris UI3

I’m getting terrible performance in Firefox and Safari on a 2021 iMac M1 – The video playback for live or clips is really choppy/laggy almost like it’s 1fps or running over old school dial-up – The connection is 1Gb cabled local LAN to a very powerful Win10 Blue Iris server, no network issues or...

IP Cam Talk Custom Community DeepStack Model

I have no need to track anything other than people and cars so I'm using the general.pt (v1.2) - I'm using the GPU version of deepstack with an old GTX 970 graphics card, I send the substream images and the results are excellent, process times average ~70ms some are as low as 30ms.

    5.5.5 - February 2, 2022

I was the person that actually requested this as a new feature to Ken back in April of 2018, below is the example I created in paint and gave to him during a few email conversations with him at the time

well until recently the alert marker lines appeared on the bar for the camera, so having different colours allowed you to see which camera had an alert at what time

have you set a different colour for each camera?

    5.5.5 - February 2, 2022

On 5.5.5.5 - I see a coloured bar for each of my six cameras, however no jpeg thumbnails when I zoom right into the timeline bar. Also the alert icon/marker is golbal and without a marker on the bar for the camera that alerted.

yes there was, so you could see which camera the alert for was, I to now have a much different bar, also little rainbowy now as well, I prefer the old look.

    Image sensor size - 1/1.8” vs 1/2.8"

Would I be right in thinking that a senor 1/1.8” is about double the size of a 1/2.8" making a camera with a 1/1.8” 4Megapixel senor about the same as a 1/2.8" 2Megapixel when it comes to light sensitivity?

Which Dahua 2MP Starlight dome to buy in 2022?

As the tilt says, what is the best Dahua 2MP Starlight to buy in 2022? It's going outdoors, there will be a little street lighting, I think 2.8mm will suit beter than 3/4/6mm - I'll be using BI and Deepstack so have no need for cam AI/IVS etc - providing the nighvision and price is roughly on...

    Purging cancelled alerts?

    Purging cancelled alerts?

Sadly not, I ended up disabling alert images and for the mini/thumbnails that go to the DB I manually filter them about once a week in the main BI GUI cancelled alert clip list section and delete them all and then optimise the DB. In rain, wind, snow etc I get a cancelled alert every few mins...

@Wildcat_1 Which firmware would you recommend for IPC-T5442T-ZE if all you care about is image quality day and night, light at night would be IR only. CPUUsage Increase x2 ?

One think to note is that although using your Nvidia card for HA over Intel might make your CPU stats look better it will come at the cost of consuming more power, the Nvidia card will never drop to its lower clock speeds and power savings as it will always be under load, this results in higher...

TBH I think it has bounced backwards and forwards a few times, at first it only did confirmed alerts and I recall it broke/changed in a few 5.4.x.x versions but then worked (only stored confirmed alerts) in later versions of 5.4.x.x

Has anyone esle got an issue where 5.5.1.x seems to be saving all alert images to the alerts folder and not just Deepstack confirmed? As you can see from the below I'm database only and the Burn lable mark-up in AI previously only saved confirmed alerts with the mark-up to the alerts folder.

This is not an answer to your CPU issue as it seems like a bug from what you've said but can I ask what GPU your running? reason for the ask is that I've found using the GPU (CUDA) version of deepstack performs signicantly better - I'm running an older Nvida 970GTX

So after some trial and error I managed to find a workaround, or perhaps even the way I should have used the system from the start. So I arranged the cams using the edit layout function as I wanted them in my screen shot above. I then enabled "Solo Selected Camera" and then in options set 1-up...
